Why was it "delightful"?

It's quiet a common practice for the BBC to include clips from DW in various science related documentaries. I wish they'd get over it and stop doing it. Anyone watching the doco who'd never heard of DW, (yes, they do exist), would probably be wondering what was going on.

I was more interested in the program itself.

- I was unaware that the 4 major asteroids between Mars & Jupiter had once been considered "planets". (Although "Uranus" originally being named "George" always sticks in my mind).

- The discover of the "10th Planet" and it's moon; initially named Xena and Gabrielle; now named Eris and Dysnomia; (someone has a sense of humour), and how it was done.

- The solar system just got 3 times bigger.

From not knowing what the dark side of the moon looked like to this in just a few years. That's impressive.

Sadly, now that SBS has gone all commercial, programmes like this are going to get cut to bits.

I saw on SBS the other day a Program called TIMETRIP,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/horizon/2003/timetrip.shtml

and again like the previous thing shown,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/broadband/tx/pluto/

they had some DW stuff on it,
'I saw DAVROS & the Daleks, and for the End-credits they used the 'Early tom baker-music

And the dalek stuff that was shown was from Peter davison's dalek story,
So
It seems SBS might of payed to show that, compared to the ABC that won't pay to show all the dalek-episodes!

Also,
on the BBC-site,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/broadband/broadband_only/strangestideas/survey.shtml
the picture on there appears to look like one of the 80's 'dw intro's.
