This show just seems to keep getting better, as of episode 17, "Company Man". It and the preceding "Unexpected" have been awesome, making me wonder if they can keep up this level of intensity, going into the season finale. Hopefully, they'll keep it up.

Lots of questions/theories about what's going on:

I'm guessing Peter's going to be caught and taken into Primatech Paper while Ted's still there sedated. Somehow the two have to come into contact if Peter's going to explode/be in danger of exploding in the season finale.

Is Matt's wife's baby his? She was cheating on him, then she's pregnant...and the question hasn't even been asked about paternity.

So we have the company who catch and try to control the super-powered people, but is there yet another group that the Haitian is a part of that we've not seen yet? A group who use that RNA-symbol thing he wears on a pendant around his neck? If so, what's the connection to Jessica/Nikki?

When Mohinder wakes up to the fact he's getting around with Sylar, what does he do? I'd ecpect the penny to have to drop soon, but will Sylar let him go, or force him to accompany him?

From the amount of radiation Ted was unleashing in the bennett's home, we should expect Matt, Mr and Mrs Bennett and Lyle to all die of radiation sickness soon. Can't expect they'd do that, but it would be cool if they did. And they should.

That's about it for now. Can't wait for the next ep. Is Simone dead or alive?

It would be a crying shame if Simone is dead.

She's fine!!

Well, it seems she is dead. As for ep 18...can you say cliffhanger? Can't believe they end like that before taking a 6 week hiatus.

OMG!! What an episode!!!

Ceiling-hanger perhaps.....

I thought Simone was alive there for a second, but alas....not to be.

Is it possible Shuresh could be leaving the series????

And FINALLY!!!! Hiro gets the sword....and his powers back!!! I knew Ando had to come back and was pleasantly surprised when he did.

Dave, this was the first I'd heard of a hiatus. I can't believe it!!!! Sad

Next episode airs April 23rd in the 'States. So many cliffhangers it's not funny, but the big one is Peter. I'm hoping he starts kicking Sylar's arse. But maybe Claude will appear and knock Sylar out. I'd like to see that, Ecclestone is great as Claude.

This show is just insane. In a very, very good way. 'Five Years Gone' just blew me away, and I'm dying to watch it again. So many things to comment on...

I spotted Sylar-as-Nathan the moment he said he understood how things worked. The thing about this is, Matt must know who 'Nathan' really is, for a couple of reasons: 1. He could read Sylar's mind, therefore finding out. 2. There's no other reason for Parkman to have called 'Nathan' for reinforcements when Peter turned up, unless he knew 'Nathan' might be able to go toe-to-toe with him. If this is the case, then either Matt turns out to be much darker than I thought, or Sylar is holding his wife and/or son hostage.

So it seems the Haitian can stop powers other than those which are psychically-based, which begs the questions why didn't he stop Sprague in 'Company Man' and why didn't he stop Nathan flying away in whatever early episode that was? (Admittedly, seeing as the Haitian seems to be working for Mrs Petrelli, he may have allowed Nathan to escape.)

Seems Sylar has 'eaten' Nathan, DL, and that illusion girl, whatever her name is. I'm dying to see the end of his showdown with Peter...only have to wait 5 years!! Shocked

I found this ep to be a real return to form after 0.07% (which disappointed me due to the lackluster fight between Sylar and Peter). Can't wait for next Monday.

Well, I'm running the risk of having a conversation with myself here, but what the heck, I've just watched 'Five Years Gone' again.

I'm not so sure about Matt knowing about Sylar anymore. When he's first interrogating Hiro, Matt blames Sylar for making people like him outcasts, and does so vehemently. So that got me thinking that maybe Sylar always keeps Matt at a distance, but that's not the case as they end up in the same room at least twice this episode. So I'm confused.

Also, if you read the latest comic it seems the office of homeland security has other super-powered dudes to call upon to control renegade heroes. So maybe Parkman was just calling the President with the intention of getting the President to send said super-dudes.

Future Hiro names three people that he brought to Bennett for Bennett to hide: DL, Candace and Molly. At least 2 out of these 3 have been victims of Sylar, which suggests to me that Bennett's operation is compromised, probably via Parkman.

Does Linderman know that it's going to be Sylar, and not Nathan, who ends up in the Oval Office? Another thing, Sylar claims that Nathan had already given up on his 'own kind' before Sylar killed him, suggesting that maybe Nathan turns into something of a villain, perhaps. One thing I do know, Sylar must take Candace (the illusion girl) before he gets to Nathan, as this enables him to steal Nathan's identity.

Did Parkman kill Bennett? It seems to be suggested that he did, which probably shouldn't be surprising considering the body count this epsiode. I just couldn't figure out his motive for doing so, if he did. After all, it seems Bennett got Janice and Matt Jr away somewhere safe.

Not much more to say on the episode other than WOW!!!

Future Hiro was a completely different character to what I assumed he was when he first met Peter on the train. I assumed that all the Heroes had got themselves together in some kind of world-saving group, but this is definately not the case.

Future Sylar took me by surprise.

I'm missing Claude though. I sure hope he comes back at some point, assuming he isn't dead.
