Anyone purchased the DVD boxed set yet?

Containing all 45 tv episodes, apparantly with restored picture and sound quality. What did you think? I have to admit at about 8 cents per minute it's pretty good value.

Younger readers who haven't heard of Python should try tracking down a copy of the vinyl LP "Monmty Pythons Matching Tie & Handkerchief" and playing the "A" side, the "B" side or the "C" side to hear what they've missed.

FAI: I picked up "Monty Pythons Flying Circus - The Complete Series", (7 disc set, all 45 episodes), for AUD$99.00; at J&B Hi-Fi the other day; which works out to AUD$2.20 per episode or about AUD$0.07 per minute.

Picture and sound quality so far, (half way through series 1), is very good. One or two very small glitches that most people probably won't even notice. Not indication on the labelling if any restoration was done.

Vanilla release, no extras. (Possible "extras" release next year).
Overall, very pleased with this release of the complete series.

Just don't mention the dirty knife.

I might be getting it soon, my whole family likes Monty Python (you've probably guessed that I do). Is it at the ABC shop?

For those of you who love the "How Not To Be Seen" sketch, check it out on YouTube using scenes from the Halo video game:

Just got the DVDs today. After seeing it for $119 at the ABC Shop, I got it for $98 at Big W.

Absolutely. Forget the ABC shop.

I have noticed one issue with the DVDs. About 3 times in total so far, (in the first 2 series), a subtitle, just the one, has appeared. I thought this may be a joke, but I'm pretty sure it's a production error.

The reason being that it's happens on chapter markers. Which makes me believe that who ever authoured the disc's put chapter marker over subtitle clips, which you're not suppossed to do, because it turns them on.

If it happens to you, let me know. It may just be one of those odd things with some disc's and some DVD Players.
