A lot of episodes were good this series but I think Blink was the best.
It made some real achievements in terms of cheap, involving, real looking SFX and Sally Sparrow was a great character like Elton before her.
It's good to have a break from the Doctor and I thoroughly enjoyed the roundabout time logic. |

Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords
appealed to me as it brought back The Master and made me go nicely down memory lane, plus john Simm was fantastic as The Master, the Yang to David Tennants Ying as The Doctor. Plenty of tears all round.
I did love when The Master danced....the song was very upbeat and catchy.....we;ve had The Doctor dance and now it was The Master's turn....yay |

| Utopia/Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords without a doubt. This story just had so much action and suspense. It was great to have Jack back (the final twist about him being the Face of Boe was awesome) and John Simm did a fantastic job as the Master. There was also some great acting by Tennant when the Master died. |

Bugger! Added.
Sadly at the end - can't add things in earlier without stuffing things up once the voting has started! |

Human Nature/The Family of Blood for me!
Paul Cornell's adaptation of his 'New Adventures' novel was superb and had me in tears!
Still honourable mentions for RTD's 'Gridlock' and Steven Moffat's 'Blink', which were also wonderful! |

Human Nature/ The Family of Blood
gets my vote
Wonderful acting by Tennant and a story that connects to who The Doctor is even when he isn't around to rely on.
Powerful emotion here my friends |

It is such a hard question this month! For me it was a toss up between Paul Cornell's retelling of his novel, Human Nature, and Steven Moffat's Blink. With a lot of umming and arrghing I chose Blink as it was such a well written work and it still keeps me thinking, the way I think Doctor Who should do. At one point I literally jumped in my seat the first time I watched it!
Both works had a great intensity and thoughts about time displacement, not to mention brilliant monsters. The scales might have tripped more towards Human Nature if it had my favourite archaeologist Bernice Summerfield in it, like the original novel did...
I hope next season there will be more new Doctor Who of this quality!!!

I wish Utopia was seperate from the other eps, as I do believe it is a more stand alone story.
While Blink is without a doubt the best written episode of the season, I can't can't past the sheer emotion and brilliant performance of Derek Jacobi in Utopia.
Heart-pounding stuff!! |

Yes I agree, Jacobi was brilliant! He was so evil at the end too!! I was sad that he regenerated so soon!
