http://www.freewebs.com/colinbaker/askcolin.htm
Colin Baker( Doctor No.6) took some recent time out to answer question via his personal site. Learn his thoughts on JNT, what his preferred outfit would be, his thoughts on returning to the part, writing for WHO, and "70's Porn Colin"
Do take a look as his responses are very much worth reading.
I asked a few myself(shame it closed October 31st).
"What is it like knowing that after playing a television icon that your
image will be remembered?
Does being an ex Doctor carry any curses?
What would you go back and change from your time on the program?
If you could travel in time, what item from your childhood do you wish
you still had?
From
Scott Fitzpatrick: Sydney Australia.
1. It is very uplifting and makes me feel that whatever else my happen I have achieved something professionally that I can be proud of.
2. Not really except when it stops me being cast as something else because the director feels that I am too associated with Dr Who – which does happen sometimes.
3. Nothing except the costume. I always fancied something like Nemo wore in the Matrix.
4. My teddybear – my mother threw it away when I left home and I was appalled when I discovered that years later. I can still feel his worn fur in my mind now."
Don't let my CIN avatar fool you- I'm a Colin fan and I'm so proud he has taken time out to chat to the fans via the net. This is a Doctor who truly loves the show and it's community |

One thing I really liked reading was his tackling the issue of, you know, whether his era was any good. Apart from his disliking of the coat (which is fair enough, even though I like it), I do like how he basically said it was the fans to blame for the downfall of the show more than anyone else. I mean, excuse me if I get a bit, you know, offensive here, but - RIGHT ON! Er, I'll calm down now.
Anyway, he is indeed a bloody great guy, a bloody great Doctor and - contrary to popular belief - I think he was just as good (yet very different) on TV as he is in the Big Finish stuff. |

I chatted with Sylvester McCoy who was dead tired yet I still found reasonable.
Colin Baker to me (along with David Tennant) seems the least arrogent as he only has positive and fond memories of WHO (no matter how bad some stories, outfits, supporting cast or his own end in the show turned out).
Considering his negative times with the show, he himself has remained a fan and very welcoming to the fan community and took more than enough time to chat with me.
Colin Forever! |
