Comedian George Carlin has passed away at the age of 71 from a heart failure:

Of interest to Doctor Who fans, Carlin played Rufus in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure which featured a time-travelling telephone box (sound familiar?)

He also played Rufus in the sequel Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey as well as the spin-off TV series Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures (1990-91).

Funnily enough I was thinking about the first Bill & Ted film this morning. Eerie timing.
