The the televison show "Worzel Gummidge" starring Jon Pertwee as the main character is now available on DVD as the complete series 1 to 4. It's on sale for around $60 at some places. Sadly "Worzel Gummidge Down Under" the complete 1 to 2 series is not available on DVD yet so keep so keep an eye out.

Hopefully the Doctor Who Club of Australia shop will be getting it in stock.

If you don't know what the show is about, here's a link to help:

It just so happens that I spotted it at a shop and bought it.

Too bad that Down Under is not yet available but will definitely an eye on that one.

Thanks to a fellow Doctor Who fan, I got the UK release of Down Under quite recently. So that problem is solved for me.

On the Doctor Who anniversary yesterday November 23 I watched The Five Doctors from the 25th anniversary edition and there was a scene in which the Second and Third Doctors said goodbye in which the Second Doctor called the Third "Fancy pants" and the Third called the Second "Scarecrow". Shouldn't the lines be the other way around considering that Jon had been Worzel.

Except Worzel was years after The Five Doctors.

No, not really the original series of Worzel Gummidge originally ran between 1979 and 1981. The Five Doctors was on in 1983.

Not that it matters, as anyone referring to the 3rd Doctor as a scarecrow would plainly not be doing so in reference to the character (instead of the actor). Nor would anyone referring to the 2nd Doctor as 'fancy pants' make any sense!
