They've been around for longer than most of the people posting at this forum... but which of their stories appeals to you the most?

I'm skipping cameos on TV, and non-TV appearances. 16 choices is enough!

For me it was between Genesis and Dalek. I decided to go for Dalek because the writer went in to places that had never been explored before with the Dalek and there kind.

I went for Dalek too, for pretty much the same reasons.

Had to be Genesis for me, though Dalek was a very close second.

I can't put in a definite vote since I haven't seen all the Dalek stories (they're either lost or the ABC skipped over them), but I will say that I really enjoy Genesis, Remembrance and Dalek.

Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrgghhhhh cant choose between Masterplan, Power, Evil, Day or Genesis.
How can you torment me so?
I literally dont think I can bring myself to vote for one and not the others theyre all so good.
Fine, its either Power or Day... Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh...
Alright, Power of the Daleks gets my vote for introducing the best doctor, the dalek production line and quotes like "I am your SerVANT" Classic stuff.

I haven't voted yet, but the wonderful Power is certainly competing for the spot in my mind. After The Chase and the over-stretched Master Plan (it really didn't sustain itself over 13 episodes, as good as the good episodes are), Power was a real re-envisaging of the Daleks that has been highly influential in the writing of both Jubilee and Dalek - Daleks that are clever, who use their intelligence to trick their opponents into a position of weakness despite the formidable firepower that might well do the job more quickly. Daleks of which it can truly be said that one is enough to wipe out an entire human colony...

Damn, I just talked myself into it, didn't I?

I'm afraid I must also vote for Genesis, but not because of the Daleks really... it has some of my favourite dialogue ever.

although I really wanted to vote for Genesis of the Daleks - an all time classic, I voted for the Frontier in Space/Planet of the Daleks story. I have always loved the idea of the Daleks wanting to start a galactic war. Plus I have always held a theory that the Daleks could always return to dig out their army buried on Spiridon.

This is a very tough question.

I went for Dalek Invasion of Earth, because, at the time, it absolutely freaked me out. I think it was probably the first Doctor Who I ever saw, and it was different from anything I'd ever seen before. It was so stark and dark that it stayed with me for a long, long time.

Looks like Dalek is giving Genesis a run for its money.
