Trial of the Century:
A very enjoyable end to the third season.
Playing Alan and Denny's legal opponent is Aisha Tyler who will soon be seen on 7 again when Ghost Whisperer returns next week for its second season. In fact an ad of Ghost Whisperer featuring her was shown during an ad break. Always nice to see her.
This case saw a mother being accused of murder supposedly done by her sons. This is not the first time that this had happened as this was previously done early in the season with the Scott Little trial. Difference this time it was an unsuccessful attempt by the mother to set herself up.
A brilliant strategy that Alan and Denny comes up with to win this case.
Not so long ago, Clarence and Jerry were opposing counsels now remarkably they are working together on a case. Love the Western music that was played.
Repeats are on from next week. |

Beauty and the Beast:
Denise's absence is explained to be that of being on maternity leave. What, a permanent maternity leave!
Mark Valley as Brad is credited as Special Guest Star and has joined the other side of the legal fence as Assistant District Attorney.
I quite like the new characters of Katie Lloyd (Tara Summers) and Lorraine Weller (Saffron Barrows). Due to her look she reminds of Tara. It was very funny when Lorraine said that Alan was being very naughty in court!
It was not until Alan's closing that I really felt that I missed him and certainly missed Judge Sanders' deliberations.
Not sure that I like Carl Sack (John Larroquette) being Paul's replacement. I definitely miss Paul.
Quite a tender moment between Denny and Shirley but the magic of it got spoiled by Shirley's last scene in the episode.
Finally mention must be made of Clarence in the singing contest which completes a very good way in opening up this season. |

Back to the fourth season as I seen this week episode 2-
The Innocent Man:
Always nice to see Tony Todd in any role that he is given.
This episode's explanation of Denise's absence - she's on extended maternity leave!
Absolutely baffled with Shirley hiring Lorraine considering what happened in the previous episode.
Sad about Alan and Gloria coming to an end although it was not unexpected. |
