An Echolls Family Christmas:
So brilliant the way Veronica figured out who stole the poker money.
The episode ending with Aaron Echolls' stabbing and Veronica's quirky narration is a bizarre combination.

The next episode has been promoted by 10 as the season finale. No it's not they just not bothering to show the rest of the season at this point in time.

So does this mean it has not been rating well? Shame - I really like it.

Obi Jok Kenobi at the Gallifrey forum tells me it was a summer non-ratings season show and that's why it is finishing on Friday.

I however can be patient and wait for the show, some day. However I was very eager to see the rest of the season since I have learnt that everything gets solved at the season's end.

T.S - yes you are right as always. We are in a nonratings period, so it would not have been a factor

Well watched the 'season finale' last night. I have to say that I really enjoyed watching this show. I am going to miss it. Sad

Silence of the Lamb:
Quite shocking to find out that Mac was switched from birth with the snobbish girl at school. Even though there was no way for the girl Madison to know about her true parentage, surely she would have noticed the physical similarities between her "mother" and "sister" and Mac.
Nice moment when we see Mac standing outside her real mother's car. Hopefully this isn't last we hear of this plot.
Veronica from Mac's expertise finally recognise the voice of the anonymous tip who we saw briefly at the end but we are going to have to wait to see what happens next.

T.S - it has been these sort of episodes that have kept me interested. I agree about the Mac storyline. I really hope we see more about it, and how it might relate to the overall plot. Its a great show and I am going to miss it for now. Although I always think about "just shoot me" when I see the Dad. LOL

In a follow-up to this Veronica has been scheduled to be shown at 9:30pm from that night.

Veronica's return on June 16 is TV WEEK's highlight of the day.

While watching Supernatural yesterday, 10 ran an ad of Veronica Mars by quoting from Joss Whedon "best. show. ever. seriously." I knew that he loves the show but did not expect 10 to use the quote to promote Veronica's return.

10 ran a couple of more ads last night, the first of which had the voiceover explaining the story so far. How nice of them to do that.

The return of Veronica Mars on June 16 gets four stars from Who Magazine and this is what it says:
"Welcome Back
After a four-month hiatus, super-cool teen detective Veronica is back on the case. Hopefully Ten will let all of season one play out, so that we can finally learn who killed Lilly Kane."

They better.

Veronica's return this Friday is TV WEEK's What's Hot On TV.

Meanwhile 7 has pulled out Commander In Chief with its last episode on 7 being shown last night. However I still be seeing more of one of its stars Kyle Secor as he plays Jake Kane on Veronica Mars.

Clash of the Tritons:
I so knew that Rick was going to rat out Veronica about the fake IDs since the previews beforehand had shown her getting arrested.
We find out about Lily and Weevil. I quite like it in Weevil's letter about how he always loves Lily even if he is not there with her.
Funny when Rick told Veronica about the Tritons and it being a secret society which led to her why she never heard of them. Of course she immediately realises why as they are a secret.
Love it when Veronica sings One Way or Another which was really disguised message to the Triton leader.
Like it when Veronica took pictures of the Tritons. That sure took them by surprise.
It was very good how we the viewers have no idea who framed Veronica as I did not expect it to be Rick. The very person who said that he was told to frame Veronica turned out to be the master schemer himself.
Also in this episode Aaron finds out from Keith that it was Lynn who leaked information about him. Aaron and Lynn have a fight and the episode ends with Lynn's car being abandoned on a bridge and her presumably dead.

It is so good to have Veronica back.

Part of the theme of returning shows, I like to note that Veronica Mars is the first show that I watched that has return to Australian TV in the month prior to the return of Doctor Who on the ABC (the month having started on June 8 since The Christmas Invasion will be shown on July 8th).

Veronica's return has a less than impressive performance in the ratings as Madds posted the following at Buffy Down Under:
"From tvaus.com

SEVEN: 26.5%

Veronica Mars only managed about 470,000 total people nationally, and this was coming off a Big Brother Friday Night Live lead-in of just under a million people.

This result was really disappointing given that Veronica Mars was given a lot of on-air promo time and there were several different promos made. It just seems to be a really narrow skewing show.

I don't see how it can stay there given those figures."

Lord of the Bling:
Nice timing when Veronica says "A long time ago" came the title sequence with the song that also starts with "A long time ago".
Been wondering why Yolanda was no longer friends with Veronica and it turned out that Yolanda and Logan were kissing each other.
Weird seeing Logan playing a video game during her mum's funerary reception.
I thought it was very convenient that Ben Bloom just happens to be hiking when Yolanda got kidnapped.
I was somehow knew that Bryce had something to do with the kidnapping which wasn't a kidnapping at all but Yolanda and Ben having eloped together.
Quite a surprised end with Logan asking Veronica to find his mum.

The next episode on June 30 gets four stars from Who Magazine.

Lord of the Bling had a funerary reception. Last night, two nights after seeing Lord of the Bling, I saw another funerary reception in the Dead Like Me episode Be Still My Heart on FOX8.
