I don't know well that one would work. If TEN want to entice new viewers into the show and try and develop a sizable audience starting in the middle of the 2nd season probably would not be the best way of going about it.
I'd reckon they'd have to go back to the beginning. |

| While I was watching Kylie last night on 10 saw the ad for Smallville's 10 debut and it looked quite good. One reason that I am very keen to catch up on Smallville is that as well as James Marsters' appearance in season 5, I am also very eager to see Lois Lane because the pictures I saw of her she is a complete knockout. |

Smallville, along with Charmed and One Tree Hill coming back for Summer is TV WEEK's What's Hot on TV.
Also found out that following on from this Sunday's 10 debut, Smallville will be on Thursday 1 December at 7:30pm. This could mean that Thursday will become its regular slot. |

| Looks like Smallville will be on both Sundays and Thursdays as Who Weekly has given the episode to be shown on Sunday December 4, three stars. This episode features a very special guest star. |

Rush:
Smallville returns to Australian television with this episode. Just as Clark finally asks Lana on a date something just had to go wrong as Pete and Chloe both infected by parasites in the cave. To add to that an infected Pete slips in a red krytonite on Clark.
Overall a fun way to mark Smallville's return.
Prodigal:
Lex finally meets his long-lost brother Lucas in a bid to oust Lionel from the company but the end that plan backfired as Lex being the one kicked out.
Love the look on Jonathan's face when Lex asked if he could stay with the Kents.
The twist with the two brothers was completely unexpected.
I have to say I really hearing the theme song again for the first time in a couple of years.
The episode on December 8 is second place in TV WEEK's highlights of the day.
While watching Rush & Prodigal my niece kept saying that Kristin Kreuk (Lana) is from Charlie's Angels. Obviously she mistaken her with Lucy Liu. |

Fever:
Could have enjoyed this a lot more if it wasn't for my very noisy niece.
However it was gripping to see Jonathan and Clark getting that key from the spaceship in order to save Martha.
Felt sorry for Chloe as she reads a poem to the sleeping Clark only for him to call out Lana's name.
Michael David Simms - the hospital administrator Swift in the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie - has a small role here as another doctor, Dr. Neil Moore. |

Hey l really like Smallville.....great show but being a Superman fanatic from way back there's a few things that irk me.....
1. Pete Ross is not dark
2. Lana is blonde and blue-eyed (this one is very pretty eye-candy but
not like she is drawn/played in the comics/movie/s)
3. Lex lost his hair later on in life due to Kyronnite.........
and other then that........great show...great actors |

At the beginning of the episode "Nicodemus", Jonathan Kent is listening to the theme song from "The Dukes of Hazzard" (1979). John Schneider, who plays Mr. Kent, also played Bo Duke.
In the episode "Delete", Clark's parents' email address is CNH320@instamail.org. CNH 320 was the license plate on the General Lee on "The Dukes of Hazzard".
In each episode Clark can be seen wearing any one of, or a combination of red, yellow and blue; the colours he will one day don as Superman.
In the episode "Run" Clark reads off the names on the fake ID's of Bart Allen (Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, and Wally West). These are all names of the various characters to don the mantle of The Flash in the DC Comic books. Bart Allen is also in the comic books, he is known as Impulse and more recently 'Kid Flash' and he is the grandson of Barry Allen.
"Rosetta" and "Legacy" marked Christopher Reeve's final film appearance before his death. Music from the original Superman (1978) film can be heard during his scenes.
The episode "Devoted" was dedicated to Christopher Reeve, who played Superman in four movies and appeared on "Smallville" (2001) as Dr. Virgil Swann. "Devoted" aired on 13 October 2004, three days after Reeve's death.
In the episode "Perry", The sheriff snaps, "And Don't call me Chief!" at Perry White. This is a reference to the 1950s series starring George Reeves, where Perry White was constantly yelling "Don't call me Chief" at Jimmy Olsen. A similar joke was made in the first Superman movie.
In the episode "Zero", there are references to Central City and Bludhaven which are home to DC Comics super heroes The Flash and Nightwing respectively.
In the episode, "Redux" there is a reference made to Coast City which was the one-time home of DC Comics super-hero Green Lantern.
In the episode, "Ryan" there is a reference to Hub City which is the home of DC Comics super hero The Question.
In the episode "Metamorphis" Jonathan tells Clark that he "was meant for much greater things then winning football games". Jonathan says the same thing to Clark in Superman (1978).
In an incredible coincidence, the episode "Perry", which dealt with a large solar flare affecting Clark's powers, first aired in the US on the same day that the largest solar flair in over 100 years struck the Earth, 29 October 2003.
In the episode "Asylum", there is a newspaper headline about the Themyscirian Queen visiting the pope, a reference to Wonder Woman's mother, Queen Hippolyta.
In the episode "Rosetta" the musical score for Dr. Virgil Swann is "The Fortress of Solitude" and "Main Theme" from Superman (1978), originally composed by John Williams.
Lex Luthor's mansion is the same mansion used in X2 (2003)
According to Martha, Clark's first word was "Lara", the name of his Kryptonian Biological mother as revealed in "Memoria".
In "Ryan", Lex shows Ryan his "Warrior Angel" Collection. The cover to "Fantasy Comics-Warrior Angel" #1 is a nod to the cover of DC's "Action Comics" #1 in which Superman made his first appearance.
In "Rosetta", Christopher Reeve's character's name, "Dr. Swann", is a reference to the Superman artist of the '70s and '80s, Curt Swann.
In "Rosetta", the scenes with Dr. Swann were shot on the set of "Third Watch" (1999).
Belle Reve is the name of the estate that Blanche and Stella DuBois come from in Tennesse Williams's "A Streetcar Named Desire". Throughout the play, Blanche gradually becomes insane. In Smallville, Belle Reve is the name of a mental hospital.
Jensen Ackles, who plays Jason Teague in Season 4, was the second choice to play Clark Kent. If Tom Welling had not accepted the part, the role would have gone to him

Rosetta:
Big Finish producer Gary Russell has written Smallville reviews for TV ZONE. For Rosetta, he has given it 9/10.
This is what he wrote:
This episode could have gone two ways - schmaltzy and gooey or dangerous and daring. Luckily it's the latter and we learn so much more in the last 15 minutes about Clark's existence than the last few episodes together."
Rosetta begins mysteriously which leads to Clark meeting Dr Virgil Swann played by the late former Superman Christopher Reeve as Clark finally finds out that he is from Kryton and his real name is Kar-El.
Unfortunately he misinterprets the message left by his biological father.
Even though he appeared very late in this episode, Christopher Reeve does well in his guest stint as Virgil Swann.
Even though they were not seen on-screen together Reeve previously worked with Annette O'Toole when she played Lana Lang in Superman III.
The use of the Superman movie theme here is superb and delightful. |

Visitor:
Quite moving seeing the bond between Clark and and the boy Cyrus who may be from his home planet of Krypton only to be revealed to be another person affected by Kryptonite (which is mentioned on screen for the first time).
Gary Russell gave this episode 6/10 in his TV ZONE review saying he wasn't too please that it was another episode in which someone got affected by Kryptonite.
This is now the third episode in a row in which John Glover does not appear as Lionel Luthor. |

I have never watched Smallville so what is John Schneider like in this? And has Tom Wopat (Luke Duke) ever made an appearance? |

Precipice:
The teaser sequence in which Clark beats those guys up was quite good.
Loved it when the new Sheriff, Nancy Adams says that Lana was lying that she made good cappucino. Saying that she makes great cappucino instead.
Nice touch when Lex referenced Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Delighted to see that in the end Lana finally stands up for herself as she beats that guy up.
I had previously seen Anson Mount (Paul Hayden) in his regular role in the short-lived series Line of Fire last seen on 7 in January this year. (I am probably one of the few people who actually watched that show.)
This whole business of Helen being stalked by her ex-boyfriend played by Mount is a storyline I am not that keen on.
Lex tells Helen that Clark did not save him from being killed by Paul Hayden. He has no idea how wrong he is as he proposes to her.
More than a couple of hours before seeing Precipice found out on the news that Richard (Superman III) Pryor had died.
The Smallville episode on December 22 is second place in TV WEEK's highlight of the day. |

Witness:
Quite an interesting idea using Kryptonite as steroids. Really did not like Eric Marsh since he quite a pompous villain.
Lana's father Henry Small's wife Jennifer is quite annoying. Filing a divorce simply because her husband wanted to spent time with his own daughter.
Lionel offering Chloe to help rebuilt the Torch. I really do not like the look of this. |

Accelerate:
Wow quite spooky having Lana seeing her dead childhood friend Emily before it was revealed what she really is. Kristin is quite good as Lana in this episode.
Lionel deciding to give Lex a honeymoon for his wedding present and the fact that he has Emily, I detect leads to the climax just as season 2 is approaching its end. |
