Hello.
With the end of the 7th and final doctor of the series what would you like to see on at 6pm to replace it. I think the following programs.
1.The Goodies
2.Dangermouse
3.Astroboy (the 1980's series)
4.Battle Of The Planets
Thats all I can think of the shows I watched when I cam over from the UK. I will write a letter to the ABC to see if they can bring back these shows. Its been a long time since the ABC has shown these programs. |

That sounds good to me aswell. I'm in the middle of writing a letter to the ABC to see if they will bring back The Goodies etc... one day and I will let you know how I go. |

Hey the local fans here in Hobart turned off Scream of the Shalka part way through, in favour of Battle of the Planets.
Bit of trivia for you. |

My wife and I definately think the Goodies should come back. Our 7 year old loves it and wasn't yet born when it was last repeated on ABC TV.
We missed the stageshow when our new baby came along. Anyone see it?
In the meantime write to the ABC... just put GOODIES in the middle of the paper, they'll get the general idea.
Of course we all know we'll probably end up with another run of As Tie Goes By!!! |

After the recent australian visit by all three "Goodies", and especially after the turnout they got when they appeared on ABC afternoon radio I think the ABC may be aware that there is still an audience out there for the show. And a new audience sitting in the wings.
The problem for the ABC these days is MONEY. It aint got none.
There's little point writing to the ABC saying "please put the Goodies back on" if you don't write to your local member, your state member and your federal member and say to them "I won't vote for you unless you get the Feds to give the ABC some more cash. I want my ABC back!".
The current approach of the federal government, bleed the ABC dry then when it's a shadow of what it once was, sell it off, is working. And don't think the ABC is some sort of protected sacred cow, that no government would DARE sell off. It's all governmnets know HOW to do these days.
If you want your ABC back, if you want to see "The Goodies" back on, write to all of the above and write right now.
You make the future. It doesn't just happen. And if you let someone else make it for you, you'll be stuck with their future. Like it or not.
Go on. Get involved. |

I'm going to miss the classic series re-reruns but it'll be a relief not to have to leave work early every Wednesday to be home by 6pm (I'm only in the office one day each week)
'tis a shame the BBC haven't stepped up their classic series DVD releases - I know restoration takes time but I'd love to see them shift to a monthly schedule. |

| I rang up ABC and asked them if they were going to show K9 & Company but they said they didn't have the rights to show it. |

I'd love to see the Goodies again, or Blake's 7. Even having all the episodes of Doctor Who re-run AGAIN! I think it would be a bit more entertaining than what they have planned for us on Monday next week...

This is the week ahead after Doctor Who... Alas nothing that would link with the "Back To The Future" introduction we have seen for 2 odd years. It just must have been for Doctor Who.

Well due to having a great deal of work on for most of last year, I missed a lot.
I know it's not likely ... but I want to see it all again. And not miss any this time.
Looks like I'll be buying more DVDs and video. |

| Thanks - its a start. Now that I am having withdrawal symptoms, its time to build up a DVD library. The videos are looking a bit sad and the quality is not as good. |
