The TV episode that has been shown in the UK on May 26 2007 is Human Nature by Paul Cornell. The episode is based on Cornell's Doctor Who novel of the same name originally published for The New Aventures featuring the Seventh Doctor and Benny. For some years the out of print book has been made available as an ebook on the official Doctor Who BBC site. However I have just found out that the BBC site has taken the book offline. http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/ebooks/index.shtml

It looks like they don't want viewers to find out what happens in the story by reading the book prior to seeing the story on television.

However the link I posted does say that the book will return to the site in the near future, so no worries there.

The ebook is back on again this time with Paul Cornell proving new notes about adapting the novel which is probably best be read after seeing the TV version:
