This morning I finished listening to Chapter 2 of the UNIT mini-series from Big Finish, Snake Head (Warning the following contains spoilers):
Unlike the previous chapters, this one does not feature Nick Courtney as the General (as he is no longer the Brigadier) leaving the new characters on their own.
The new characters of Colonel Emily Chaudry (Siri O'Neal) and Colonel Robert Dalton (Nicholas Deal) does very well in carrying the narratives of this chapter which deals with them investigating a vampire like creature.
Quite fun at the end when the two Colonels have to face the police with Dalton making a bet with Chaudry that they can escape from police questioning by Dalton using his UNIT ID and getting back to London in time for last orders. It is a pity that the chapter ends before we could find out who won the bet. Still enjoyable though. |

| I've listened to all of these... they're really underrated. The sort of small scope to 'Snake Head' is immediately contrasted by the stories around it, and the series really does go from the minute to the massive, equally enjoyably for me. I can't believe no-one seems to ever talk about it, because it deserves to be. |

| I agree. This series was given a hell of a panning at the time of it's release. I've never understood what's so wrong with it. I've always been hoping that they would do a second series. |
