I thought that visitors to the forum might be interested to know that Anthony Read's 10th historical work has recently been published by Jonathan Cape.
It focuses on the year 1919 and the great fear that most of the world had of what would become known as 'The Red Menace'.
The reviews that I have seen have generally been good, with notes of concern only arising in the alleged lack of analysis (I say alleged because I have not as yet read the book myself).
Having read his previous work, The Devil's Disciples, which followed the rise and fall of Adolf Hitler's inner circle, I am looking forward to getting hold of a copy.
Might be something that you could read before bedtime.[/i] |
