OK - who will win the grand final

For my money it has to be Sydney. It's been 72 years since their last flag, so I think they deserve a run! Barry Hall might tip the scales either way though - some players who get off a Tribunal suspension in Grand Final week bomb during the same. But - GO THE BLOODS!

Plus I hate West Coast!!!

Your thoughts?

I tipped Wet Toast at the start of the year to win the flag, so I'd like them to win it in a way because it'd be the first time since 2000 I managed that.

I'd like to see Sydney win because it may get people in this town to recognise the sport and maybe we'll get better coverage. Then again, I'll just have to put up with a whole heap of bandwagon supporters giving me heaps about Collingwood not making it Sad

I think Sydney will win on the day. They should've beaten the Toasters in the qualifying final a few weeks ago, which will really fire them up, and their only slip up in the past couple of months was v Geelong two weeks ago before the traitor kicked four goals in the last quarter to steal an undeserved win. The Weagles have been unconvincing for most of the second half of the season.

It's also been 72 years since the old South Melbourne won a flag. Have a feeling they'll be hungrier than Wet Toast.

Swanettes by 3 or 4 goals, and Nick Davis to snap a leg during the warm up (I can but hope).

I picked Sydney - I'm really glad they won. I don't like West Coast. I was talking with my mum about how Chris Judd's father supports the Swans, and I joked that he would want Sydney to win, and Chris Judd to win the Norm Smith.

As Sarah Jane Smith said in Terror of the Zygons..."Guess what?"

Yep - certainly a great game, one of the best I have seen for a long time. I did not guess Sydney would win it! Well Done! Smile

I watched the game at Sydney Aussie Rules Club (never been in the same room with so many bandwagoners in my life) and it was a pretty good day. Just wish the Swans had kicked one more goal. I had the Swans by 10 in the pick the margins comp on the day and would've won over $100 after parting with only $1 to enter.

Not too many close GFs in recent times... 2002 was good but I'm struggling to remember the one before that.

1989 Hawthorn beat Geelong by 6 points and Garry Ablet kicked 9 goals in a losing side and won the Norm Smith medal. A Classic game Smile

Yeah that would probably be it. That's a long time between close GFs.

it was a great grand final - i thought last years was better, but of course im biased because nothing compares to being there when your team wins

in terms of a spectacle it has done the game proud
