Part 4:
Uncle Terrance finally uses K-9 (albeit Mark II) because even though his previous story Horror of Fang Rock preceded K-9's debut story The Invisible Enemy in transmission, The Invisible Enemy was recorded before it and there was a choice between which of the two stories would open the 15th season. He was given the option to use K-9 in the story and when he chose not to, Fang Rock therefore began the 15th season.
Love the rebels' reaction to the Doctor's refusal to lead them.
The dress that Romana wears for the sacrifice is similar to one Lalla wore in Vampire Circus.
As I saw the rocket in space I said "What comes up must comes down" and it took me by surprise that the Doctor said the exact same thing a few seconds later. (Honestly I completely forgotten that he said that.)
In Uncle Terrance's novel The Eight Doctors, the Fourth Doctor and Romana meets the Eighth Doctor which takes place during this episode between the vampires' demise and the Fourth Doctor and his companions leaving the palnet.
This episode was originally aired on December 13 1980 the day that Tom and Lalla married in a marriage that would last for sixteen months.
It would be interesting to see how Uncle Terrance would have handled a Buffy and/or Angel episode.

What trailer was shown: The Doctor Dances was shown just before State of Decay Part 4.

Gosh. For what started off so well in Episodes 1 & 2, this one just continues to get worse.
How bodgey did that launch look?
Why do Tom's crowd rallying speeches sound like they're ripped from the Life of Brian soundtrack?
Why does being outed as a vampire give one license to start doing Rocky Horror Show poses?

Ick. bring on Warrior's Gate.
