Ive seen the adders and my favourite is the 15th century one. I find that it is really silly and quite entertaining but in all the other ones hes kind of a mellow serious character and, while it is still very funny, I just dont enjoy it as much.
Which is your favourite? |

Blackadder goes forth. One of my all time comedy series favourites. There are some brilliant lines and the acting all round is excellent.

| Blackadder II, followed by Blackadder the Third. Then Blackadder Goes Forth and finally, The Black Adder. I've never ever seen Back and Forth... is it any good? |

| I love the 3rd series - especially the Dr Johnsons dictionary episode. |

I watched Back and Forth for the first time yesterday. It's good, but without a live audience or canned laughter it's just not the same. And the only former series they visit is the court of Queen Liz. All the other locations/time periods are new ones. I was interested to discover (in the making of documentary) that Stephen Fry came up with the name 'Darling' for the 4th series.
Blackadder Goes Forth is my favourite. I have no idea how many times I have seen it, but I still laugh at every Darling crack. Superb!! |

I like all the Blackadder TV shows equally, but I'll have to give the nod to the original series - simply because it was the first...
If not for the first, there would be no second, third or fourth... |

| It's a very close thing between the second and the third, but I think the third is a tiny bit better. |

I've currently got the third series out of the local library to show my lad - he loved it.
He also loved the fourth series - but unfortunately, that's all he's seen of it so far. Mind you, he loves just about everything that RA has done... |
