Eric Roberts was partly the reason the TVM was such a mess in the first place.
ALso I seriously doubt he would return to the show anyway.
The Master has been done to death in the classic series and there's no point bringing him back unless you could think of a novel re-invention of the character.

Now having seen the movie I can say that he should definetly not ever return to the master. I thought the Master was alright until I saw this guy. Of all the errors I think he made with the character I would have to say the most annoying one would be the accent. Seems as if they weren't even trying to revive the series with that blunder. And the way he pashes his finger when he chokes his wife is just weird.
