I am also getting annoyed with how quickly the Doctor figures out stuff. It used to be fun but does he honestly know every SINGLE race in the galaxy instantly? I'd like him for once to come up a formidable new race or something. I'd also like it if he didn't come up with solutions so quickly.

But then again, he's supposed to be really smart, so I guess it fits. I had fun in the last season because he had no idea the Daleks were behind the whole thing, and there were a lot of unpredictable things happening. However, there's the rest of the season so I'm gonna the Doctor time to develop.

Does it make any sense?

That SJS said that she still wanted to go with the doctor!,
Why didn't she leave with 'Peter in the FIVE DOCTOR'S then ?

Why say that after 22/23 years...

'Just females being Romantic & Dramatic

well my memory of the five doctors may be a bit fuzzy but even when she met him she still asked who he was?...

I loved this ep, there were so many insights into the Doctor, Rose and Sarah Jane. It was brilliant to see her back, she was always my favourite companion. Definatly one of the best New Who eps!

As for the Doctor and being right all the time - if he wasn't it just wouldn't feel like Doctor Who to me. He is supposed ot know everything, he's traveled so much and been around for so long, he's seen alot. If he went up against an enemy and constantly said "Oh, golly gosh, never seen you lot before" I would honestly feel a bit cheated.

It was nice as a one-off, but never ever again, should old characters or companions appear in the series. (Aliens are okay though)
I too didn't like that fat nerdy kid .
Anthony Steward Head was great as well (if a tad underused)
I did find the SJS/Doctor interplay a bit overlong and self-indulgent.
Still it's not an episode that is worth watching over and over.

The latest TV WEEK includes a letter from a Peter who said he was pleased to see Sarah again and hopes this would lead to other former cast members in coming back to the show even it is in different roles. I certainly don't think it is a bad idea for former regulars to appear as different characters, after all Jackie Hill was quite good in the 1980 serial Meglos.
