Collectors on the ABC July 28 8pm will show a Doctor Who collection but it also be a treat for people liking Little Britain as well because in the preview at the end of last night's show I spotted a couple of Vicky Pollard dolls as well as a toy of narrator Tom Baker in his Doctor Who persona.

OMG I know! I wanted to buy the Little Briatin toys when they were out but I didn't have any money. The next time I went to those shops they were gone.

In Season 2, Episode 2, the old lady as played by David Walliams vomits on a Conservative MP. The Conservative MP was played by Paul Darrow. Paul Darrow is of course known to us as Avon from Blake's 7.
Interestingly I just finished listening to his DVD commentary on the Blake's 7 episode Assasin when he mentioned that he just finished doing that Little Britain episode and being vomited on. It only came up because the food that was shown looked exactly like vomit!!!

Did you know Neighbours has worked in some Little Britain quotes? One was when Paul was trying to buy some champagne and his credit card wouldn't work. Max told him: "Computer says no."

Another was after Rachel and Zeke had been mucking about with Karl's stuff and Susan wanted to talk to them about it. Rachel reply was: "Yeah but no but yeah but ..."

I wonder what percentage of Neighbours viewers actually got them?

Definitely not my sister as she is a regular watcher of Neighbours but did not watch Little Britain when it was on the ABC. I did not know about this before as I don't watch Neigbours regularly.

Christmas Special:
john putland over at Gallifrey posted the following:
"From website Chortle, and from another source I dare say states this

Little Britain, big stars

Christmas special line-up revealed

Peter Kay, Steve Coogan, Dawn French, Julia Davis and Paul McKenna will all appear in Little Britain’s Christmas special.

The show will be split into two half-hour programmes on the theme of Little Britain Abroad.

Sketches include ‘the only gay in the village’ Daffyd visiting friend Myfanwy's new bar in Mykanos; Sebastain and the Prime Minister at the White House; and mental patient Anne making a trip to the Vatican.

Fans were given a preview of the show at a recording in London over the weekend, where video sketches were also played. Details have since been posted on the comprehensive David Walliams fansite.

Other scenes include the pernickety Mr Mann searching for a pirate memory game in Morocco; Marjorie Dawes visiting Fat Fighters USA while her US counterpart comes to the UK; and hypnotist Kenny Craig getting a taste of his own medicine courtesy of McKenna.

Coogan plays the pilot of a plane taking Lou and Andy to Disneyland that crashes on a desert island for a series of Lost-style sketches; while French plays Vicky Pollard’s mum in a sketch that has her arrested for heroin smuggling in Thailand.

Kay and Davis feature in a sketch about Dudley and his Thai bride Ting Tong. Kay plays Dudley’s brother who married Russian mail-order wife Ivanka (Davis).

all together, eh eh eeeeeh!!!"

In an interview with mx newspaper here in Sydney, Dicko reveals that he is a Little Britain fan as it is his all-time favourite show. This is what he had to say:
"Little Britain. I love British comedy and I love Lou and Andy. I think Australian TV is too safe."

I made the mistake of showing Little Britain to my English class. I didn't want to include Daffyd, as the jokes might have been a bit rude. However I did include Bubbles, Judy & Maggie and Bitty. Probably not the best selection.

Judy & Maggie (theyre the vomitting one right?) are my favourite after Mr Mann.

I think that wasn't a bad idea but Bubbles and Bitty weren't in Very Little Britain for a reason.

Yeah I think so.

During the last ad break for Grey's Anatomy on 7 last night saw an ad for Little Britain season 3 DVD. I expected to see a Little Britain ad on the ABC but it coming on 7 came as a definite surprise.

All the ads I've seen for the DVD have been on commercial stations after 9:30. I guess it's not for kiddies.

Just before Sensitive Skin came on last night caught an ad of Enough Rope - David Walliams and Matt Lucas are the guests for the show to be aired at 9:35pm Monday October 16.

I hope it's better than their interview on Parkinson. I'd like Andrew Denton to ask about Dennis Waterman. This is what he looks like in real life (he's the one on the left):

But this is what he looks like in Little Britain:

Interesting ...

I quite enjoyed it.

This Friday December 1 at 8:30pm, the ABC will be repeating Marple: Body In The Library which featured David Walliams. Well this morning I saw an ad for it which displayed the actors' name on-screen but it did not show David's name. It showed instead "the guy from Little Britain"!

I heard about that. I guess some people may not identify with his name, but they'll know he's in Little Britain. Apparently he was in an episode of Black Books the other night really quickly.
