| When you think of a 16 year old girl, I bet you think make-up, shopping, friends and boyfriend. Well, I am a 16 year old girl. I'm friendly with a lot of people, but I don't actually talk to them on a regular basis or do anything with them. I don't go shopping very often, and usually my dad's paying. No, I spend most of my time here, discussing Doctor Who, because no one I know wants to discuss it seriously. Is this how you spent your Saturday nights when you were my age? Do I take Doctor Who a little too seriously? Is it a little bit weird that I kiss David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston on the Doctor Who poster I got out of the TV guide before I have a test? Tell me! |

| No, you're not weird at all. I'm a 21 year old girl who absolutely LOVES Doctor Who! I wish there were more girls who liked Doctor Who. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't, the Doctor is a real peppy character, Rose is cool, the show has great adventures! Plus it's funny too. It's great! |

| I guess it's a pretty stupid idea asking Whovians if there's anything wrong with liking Doctor Who. Maybe your minds will be changed if you check out my topic "How much do you like Doctor Who?" |

No, i mean if you said you where a fan of the show and you never watched it or talked about ot whatnot then i'm not sure how much a fan you'd be Just like i'm sure old golfing nuts love to buy golfing magazines and talk about the game and so on (maybe even kiss posters of golfers? )
I'm in the same boat about not having any friends that like the show. |

| I've recently found a HUGE amount of Doctor Who fanfics, and I will not rest until I've copied as many as possible into Word. It's taken me about a month, and so far I've got about 1500, and plenty more to go. And this is when I'm kinda meant to be studying for my end course exams. |

i am a 16 y-o girl too and if i had internet at home, i'd be the same. i dont kiss my poster, however but my lil sis did kiss my computer monitor when i had David Tennant as my desktop background.
i walk around the school every lunchtime with my friend and we are writing a story together about it.
i have done at least 2 assignments were doctor who was a main theme and i put a quote from 'robot' with the 4th doctor in a science and ethics assignment.
i am a member of three different sites that talk about doctor whon including a fanfic site teaspoon and an open mind (used to be 4 but it wont let me log on toone anymore)
i am supposed tobe doing a maths assignment right now, but here i am. (oops!)
my dream is to:
a) hug a croc at least a meter long
B) hug a dalek
c) work for something to do with doctor who (writer/ director/ caterer/ toilet cleaning crew whatever dont carefor the show... work in a DW bookshop whatever)
most of my schoolbooks have doctor who themed covers.
my current mission is to read allthe doctor who books in the town library.
my thing to say if something happens is WWDD. What Would the Doctor Do?
i could go on,but the bell's about to go. time to go to maths and ask the teacher for help on my assignment...
does anyone know how to work with cubic functions? that sucks...
WWDD... bluff his way into an a with minimal work? already know how to do it...bloody geniuses...
SORRY. LETS JUST SUMMARISE THIS. A) NO, YOU'RE NOT WEIRD AND B) DONT LISTEN TO ME, I NEVER DO!
(quote form the keeper of traken by terrance dicks starring tom baker as the 4th doctor... great, i'm quoting episodes like a priest quptes bible verses...)
i type how i talk and i talk too much! |

I wish! I'm from that "lost generation" that was too young for the classic series, but had to endure my dreaded teen years without any consolation from the new series. So it was Red Dwarf for me...
But yeah, I spend my Saturday nights watching Doctor Who now. Nightclubs be damned! Judging from the reaction my obsession gets from friends and family, I wouldn't say it's normal, but then, who wants to be normal anyway?
In summary: Yes, you are weird, and it's completely wonderful. Don't change a bit!
(like username by the way... the girl's got style!) |
