As with the old forum since the sketches from Very Little Britain are nothing new I will only state what was in them for the record.

Very Little Britain 9/7:
Vicky picking jelly beans.
Emily and Florence having afternoon tea.
New spokesperson for Fatfighters Vanessa Phelps.
Computer says no to man wanting 2000 pounds.
Man looking for Linda Williams.
Lou gets heckled and gets called Davros.
The sketches are from season 2 but the closing credits are from season 1 as Steve Bendeluck did not direct on season 2.

I just thought I'd mention that this sketch featueres on the series 1 DVD set as an extra. It's performed live at something... I can't recall anything else about it.

That is all!

Very Little Britain 16/7:
PM's meeting with US President. Funnily enough I just saw the Spooks episode Without Incident on DVD which included footage of George W. Bush and Tony Blair together.
Lou fakes being pushed over wheelchair.
University administrator describes Jo Harding as "Big Fat Lesbian".
Anne in Bowling Alley.
Fatfighters Paul and Pat seeing each other.
Computer says no to 6 year old wanting to open a bank account.
Vicky in bikini. (Eww!)
Man looking for a Chevy Chase-Rick Moranis movie that has not been made yet. Noticed from this sketch one of the movie posters on the wall is that of the 1985 movie Fraternity Vacation. Matt Lucas and David Walliams must have good taste. It's one of my favourite movies as a result of a particular scene with Barbara Crampton and Kathleen Kinmont who become among my favourite women.
Season 2 credits are finally shown.

Very Little Britain 23/7:
Vicky smoking on the bus.
Lou and Andy skating.
Robbery at jeweller's.
"Mr T" and the "A-Team van"
Emily playing soccer.
Lottery winner at Fatfighters.
PM meets ex-aide.

I was just buying a course reader at my uni bookshop when all of a sudden I spotted the Little Britain radio series CD. Wasn't able to get it at the ABC Shop earlier on. Therefore I bought it right there and then and the person who attended me absolutely loves Little Britain.

Very Little Britain 30/7:
Anne in The Importance of Being Earnest.
Fatfighers at restaurent for Christmas dinner.
Daffyd in library (this is the first time I noticed a book of Michael Portillo former Conservative minister and leadership aspirant who is now retired from politics and who had accused of being gay).
PM on having a baby.
Computer says no to couple getting bank loan.
Kenny in carpark (definitely a favourite sketch for me).
Man looking for books with Tom saying that he read the book "Who on Earth is Tom Baker?"

After this was shown there was a trailer of the Little Britain radio series on Radio National on Monday 3:15pm. I assumed it was going to be the first time but checked their website to my utter horror that the current run has been on every Monday since July 11 and emailed my complaint about it.

Thankfully I got the radio series 1 CD and just heard the pilot -
Pilot Episode:
Tom's narration is superb as in the TV version.
Many of the sketches here made it to the TV version.
Pete Davison gets mentioned as Matthew Waterhouse (the character) talks to his agent called Mark Strickson!!!
The introduction of Daffyd to be funnier here than on TV.

I just listened to Little Britain on radio and instead of the entire half hour episode there are being broadcast as 15 minute segments. Checked the CD to find out that the segment that was just on was the second half of Episode 2 although the Des Kaye sketch wasn't included in the broadcast.

Radio series 1 Episode 1:
The Prime Minister's press conference from the TV series is actually that of the Home Secretary here on the radio version.
Dennis Waterman offered a part in Star Wars and I sure you can imagined how he handled that offer.
The sketch with the Cockney Film star not shown in the TV version is quite good.
Cliff Roberts is dull here compared to the TV version.
In the TV version there were two sketches of Edward and Sam with her parents. The lines that would later appear in the TV version is actually just one here on radio.
In the TV version, Daffyd complains about not having anything to do because he is a gay while drinking in the Scarecrow and Mrs King. In the radio version it is presented differently.

In last night's return of Dead Ringers on the ABC, Prime Minister Tony Blair attends to his Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown who was in a wheelchair but when Blair walks away Brown reveals that he can indeed stand. A definite take on Lou and Andy from Little Britain.

Got a response from Nick Bron from Radio National:
"Thanks for the feedback and sorry for not being able to alert you to the radio series prior to last Saturday. We did think of mentioning the radio series before now, but various things had to be in place before the promo you saw could be made and placed on air. It's too complicated a story to write in detail here, but please understand that this wasn't neglect on our behalf. We would have dearly loved to have been able to mention the radio series right from the start.

As to your other questions, the episodes we are broadcasting come from BBC Radio International and don't seem to correlate exactly with the original BBC Radio 4 series. The lack of information on websites that I can find mean that I'm unsure what we have. BBC Radio International provided 7 episodes of 30 minute duration, but there seems to be 9 episodes from the two series on Radio 4 if you include the pilot. The 7 episodes that we are broadcasting have been split into x14 15-minute episodes, so they will be on ABC Radio National for a while yet."

Very Little Britain 6/8:
Psychiatrist seeing woman having an affair with brother-in-law.
Fatfighters pudding.
Men as dogs.
Identity parade on the robbery.
Prime Minister in TV interview.
Psychiatrist seeing man going to prostitutes.
Kenny Craig and his girlfiend (who is in a lovely towel).
Computer says no to bank employee's outing.

Radio series 1 Episode 2:
A couple of mothers who picked out names you will not believe.
The Des Kaye sketch here is disturbing.
The Matthew Waterhouse kissogram sketch is just as funny here as it was on telly.

Very Little Britain 13/8:
Andy's blind date
Vicky and boyfriend
A temporary reverend.
Pat and Paul's engagement party at Fatfighters.
Kenny Craig reads book during his show.
Man looking for James Last record.
Kenny finishes book.
Lou and Any at the beach.

Four days after saying goodbye to him in the classic Doctor Who, I say goodbye to Tom here as well as Very Little Britain ends.

Was a bit late getting home for the Radio National broadcast which was the second half of Episode 3 (except Dennis Waterman getting a Minder gig) but also two from Episode 4 which as far as I can make out from the CD sleeve were Joey the Stool at the library and the original sketch of Gregory at No.10.

Radio series Episode 3:
Definitely worth listening for is how Tom describes Dennis Waterman you would not believe the irony of it and the sketch of Sir Bernard Chumbley visiting backstage.

Radio series 1 Episode 4:
The first series concludes and it was quite good.
There was a very big applause at the end as Tom announced its conclusion.

Today August 20 is David Walliams' birthday the same as Sylvester, Sophie and Ainley.

The Radio National instalment yesterday on 22/8 are sketches that are presumably from series 2 since they are not on the series 1 CD.
The sketches were Vicky being pregnant, Olivier Laurence doing a commercial, the "gorgeous" robbery, the funeral of Gerald Henderson, Marjorie Dawes visiting her mother in hospital which is a bit longer than the TV sketch, Grace Evans having a pnone call about cats and a couple of policemen delivering bad news to a widow.

I was just sitting in seminar at uni when all of a sudden someone asked someone else if he had seen Little Britain. The person responded that he hasn't and the other said he should.
