Talk about sex kills. In fact this episode is somewhat similar to the Angel episode Lonely Hearts which also had a creature inhabiting a body and kills people with sex. Not to mention that both the Torchwood & Angel episodes were the second episode in their respective series.
The revelation of the CCTV in the toilet was funny.
Gwen and Carys having a girl to girl action was fun to watch but the dialogue between them was dull.
Was shocked to see the Doctor's hand the one that got chopped off in The Christmas Invasion and that rat exploding.
I was watching this with a group of people and when Gwen kissed Jack, someone says that his workplace is not anything like this. If only.
Overall Everything Changes is slightly better than this but it was still enjoyable. |

| Does anyone think there is a link(pardon the pun) between Torchwoods Gwen and "The Unquiet Deads" Gweneth? |

Yes, watching someone DIE is always a big laugh getter.

Lost for words on that statement.
As for the episode, let's let a (sex addicted) alien parasite escape, then capture it and it's unwilling host, then let it and it's unwilling host escape from our top secret base, so it can murder another 6 (?) people. Then dump the (more than likely extremely mentally and physically trumatised) host back home and walk away.
But hey, we trick the alien prasite and killed it with some special effects.
This series is failing to impress so far. |

| Michael Idato in the SMH Guide gave the episode a thumbs up even though he says that it starts in a predictable way with the crash landing of a meteor. However he does say that that the series shakes off such creaky kick-offs in coming weeks. |

| The whole thing just feels forced to me. The acting is at times wooden, the lines bad and the story is really predictable. There seems to be sex for sex's sake and not much chemistry between the cast. Hopefully things will improve. But it's just like Doctor Who without (almost) any of the good stuff. |

| There seems to be an odd belief that, if something can show sex or include swearing, some creators just have to do include it. Like including sex and swearing makes the story 'adult', which of course it doesn't - more often than not it makes it adolescent at best. |

I really liked this episode. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it was a lot better than episode one. I'm looking forward to next week.
So do you reckon that severed hand is the Doctors?
And hello again everyone! |

Not bad, but I still think they were pushing the "adult TV" button way too much.
I did like a few of the one liners though. Shame Ten blew the best one (pardon the pun) in their ads. |

I really enjoyed this. I found it very interesting. However, I don't like that the Torchwood team are so unprofessional, preferring to watch Gwen get it on than saving her life.
I'd like to know how the hand ended up with Jack, considering the Sycorax ship was over London. Also, Jack obviously has some clue to who it belongs to, but how? |

I didnt get that that was the docs hand at all. But I really like the idea that it is. Anyway, I think someone from GB was there when it got cut off, aqnd I'm sure torchwood would have found it and Im sure they would have the docs DNA or watever his race has and Im sure Jack would have stolen it if they wouldnt give it to him.
I liked the M rated ness of it all. DOing something DW can't. security guard was gross.
The idea didnt make sense though |

| Call me stupid, but I can't figure out if this Torchwood is before or after the Towrchwood we see at the end of Season 2. I'm assuming it's after because they mention the Cybermen and such. So I take it after that stuff up Torchwood went underground? |

A little patience and all will be explained. Well, some of it will anyway. More of how Torchwood Cardiff came into being is expained in series 3 of Dr Who. |
