Series Three, Episode Ten:
It was quite funny seeing Clare acting out of character including parking her car inside the school!
The donkey appears again.
With complaints about Lindsay she becomes a much more sensitive teacher but with Clare going back the way she was so does Lindsay. Pity I was quite liking this different version of Lindsay.

Series Three, Episode Eleven:
This one was a bit touch and go as Brian finally gets his chance with Eileen.
Funny about including a carnival with weird things since the final of Carnivale is on just a couple of days from now.
Amusing that Penny says "Eh-er".
From what I hear of WAM they don't spund half-bad.
The episode ends with Brian and Kurt pretending to have a lightsaber fight from Star Wars.

Unfortunately this is the last we see of Teachers for a while despite the fact there is still two episodes left of this season not to mention the fourth and final season.

Wait...why aren't we getting the final two episodes to this season? I'd assumed tonights was the end, so I found it rather disapointing.

Any word on when it will be returning?

I thought this episode was hilarious. The dwarfs worshipping Brian after he stands up and makes his speech is used to good humorous effect. And when Brian's recounting how he and Eileen were on the bridge, and says, "And then it happened," and someone replies (seriously, with a hint of compassion in her voice), "She ran away." I was in stitches. This was great, it was just disappointing he didn't end up with Eileen.

I'd not realised there were more eps in this season, and I'm really disappointed the ABC would do that. It's what I expect from commercial stations, not good ol' Aunty.

Nope. I however do know that the final two episodes of season 3 were directed by Andrew Lincoln. Perhaps the ABC wanted to start of with these two episodes leading straight to season 4 when they bring the show back.

Last night at my uni sci fi club saw the first five episodes of Life On Mars which had Liz White (Eileen) as a regular. Absolutely delighted to see her there.

I completely forgotten that the show was coming back a few nights ago and therefore I missed the episode that was shown episode 12 of season 3. If anyone can provide me with this episode PM me and it would be much appreciated.

Season 4, Episode 2:
Although season 4 has been given a bad reputation this one was pretty enjoyable although I am not I like the end.
Funny when Penny and then Lindsay touched the books in the library.
Penny is now dating a student. Wish I was that lucky when I was in high school.

Season 4, Episode 5:
Doctor Who came up in the conversation in the opening pub scene when the teachers were talking about reincarnation and how the regeneration in Doctor Who was like that with Damien mentioning Tom Baker turning into Peter Davison. Unfortunately the way the topic of Doctor Who came to an end had Bob saying "It is nothing like Doctor f**king Who". Of course the guy who plays Bob, Lloyd McGuire would know what Doctor Who is like since he himself has appear in Doctor Who playing Lugo in The Face of Evil.
Another thing is that this episode was originally broadcast on November 23 2004 which just happened to be Doctor Who's 41st anniversary.

As to the storyline about religious tolerance and Bob's mail order bride I really don't think they were done very well.

I saw the last remaining episodes of Teachers ahead of the ABC transmission as well as season 3, episode 12 which I missed on the ABC from the Complete Series Boxset which I bought from eBay and arrived on Christmas Eve. Since the final episode was a Christmas episode I decided to watched the aforementioned season 3 episode and the last four episodes of of the series across Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This meant that I deliberately watched the Christmas themed episode on Christmas Day. That's my consolidation for not being able to watch Doctor Who: The Runaway Bride on Christmas.
As to the aforementioned five Teachers episodes, the season 3 one was definitely the best while the final episode was better than the previous three episodes of season 4.

As a result of having the Complete Series Boxset I have since started to rewatch the series from the beginning. (Incidentally the first episode has Simon turning 27 which is funny since I turned 27 last month also it is so good to see Raquel Cassidy as Susan again as I have missed her.)

As to the special features each of the first three seasons is has a look Behind of the Scenes of the show and perhaps unsurprisingly there is no special feature for season 4.

Since I have now seen all the Teachers episodes it means no more virgin viewing of the series for me.

However prior to the ABC bringing back Teachers in this run, I found out that there is a US version which only lasted for six episodes. Wonder if any of the commercial stations will show it in future.

Meanwhile back to the original British version and this week's episode on the ABC on January 3 comes fourth place in TV WEEK's Pick of the Day which personally is not really that good.

Found out by accident as a result of an ad while I was watching Callan a short time ago on UKTV that two of the Teachers, Tamzin Malleson (Penny) and Vicky Hall (Lindsay) later became regulars on Bodies.

Although I don't watch Bodies myself, it is a medical drama, a different setting and in contrast to the comedic situations of Teachers.

Talk about changing professions together.

Finished watching the DVD boxset of the series. Seasons 1 to 3 was quite fun watching again but season 4 was mostly excruciating.
