I really loved this. Lis was great and looked 10 years younger than what she actually is (58!!). The lead girl was very good but her friend was a little too much for me. Mrs Wormwood was brill. Luke got lots of great lines.

In fact the ep felt a lot more like the old series of Dr Who.
I think they are onto a winner here.

Quite good ratings too (2.9 million in an afternoon slot)

I thought it was excellent. I know it's a childrens show, but I really enjoyed it. I agree with Todd in that parts of it reminded me of old school Doctor Who.

I enjoyed it fully. Lis Sladen returns in all her glory and frankly she makes Sarah more interesting each time I see her. Even if it is a childrens show I loved it and Samantha Bond (a personal favourite of mine) is perfect as what I belive to be Sarah's new arch foe Mrs Wormwood.

From Bible quotes to sonic lipstick I loved the piolt and I hope the series is just(or even more) fun.

Closer to the old style Dr Who than even the new Who!

I think a 12 year old would have got more out of it than I did, apart from it being an hour long. I'm going to test it out on my 13 year old nephew. The series will be half hour episodes, so I think it will do really well.

The fact that the two main kids are a boy and a girl should please a wider range of young viewers.

It's great to see Lis Sladen on what will hopefully be an ongoing series for her. I'll keep watching when it hits the screen later in the year.

But please, get rid of the Sonic Lippy! I hate the Sonic Screwdriver, and there's something just not quite right about the lippy. Wink

Its a great set up to a series that I think will be a roaring success. Lis SLaden is awesome and anything that allows us to see more of her on tv must be a good thing.

The Bane sent to hunt Sarah down did look a little like something from power rangers when out of its disguie but really suited in the kitch style of the show. Loved the K9 Cameo and thought that Mr Smith was kind of entertaining.

Loved the Mini-Vicky-Pollard-like friend.

Will test it on my 6 yo niece this arvo

For a show designed and targeted at younger viewers I found it very enjoyable. I wonder if aunty will be able to afford it?

I take it the tin dog will remain where he is. (Let's hope). Then this won't become a repeat of the mildly entertaining, but forgetable; "K9 & Company".

Well written, nicely acted, and the effects were good as well.

"Sonic Lipstick" indeed, Sarah Jane.

I thought this was a very fun start to the series.
Quite surprised to see Jamie Davis who I have seen before in his regular role on Hex.
We had a laugh upon seeing Sarah's sonic lipstick.
Someone commented that the explanation of K-9 being stuck beside the black hole was a dodgy way of him not being in the rest of the series (due to the upcoming K-9 Adventures). This is an opinion that I concur.

As I already said it was quite fun and look forward to see more of the series.

I thought it was quite enjoyable obviously for the kids but Liz Sladen is great. I wish they could have more of K9 though. Can't wait for the TV series. Any word if Aussie TV has bought the series yet? Surprised

I love Invasion of the Bane. When Sarah was going to appear in School Reunion, I had not been that excited about a TV episode since 30 yrs ago when I watched her in Doctor Who. So imagine how excited I was to hear that she would get her own show. I won't be holding my breath for it to come to Australia though. Invasion of the Bane was excellent. I loved it and my kids loved it. I actually liked Kelsey and am disappointed to find out that she has been dropped from the cast for the rest of the episodes. I thought she added alot of spice to the character mix. I was looking forward to finding out more about her and watching her come round to believing in aliens. I am also looking forward to finding out more about Sarah and how she came to get all of those gadgets. I miss K-9 though.
