Watching the DVD release of The Invasion, it's hard to help but notice how many of the actors have appeared in other roles in the TV series and spin-offs...

Edward Burnham - was also Professor Kettlewell in Robot.

Nicholas Courtney - also played Marc Corey in The Daleks' Master Plan, the TARDIS in Zagreus and Wolsey the Cat in the Bernice Summerfield audio Oh No It Isn't!.

Sheila Dunn - also played Blossom LeFevre in The Daleks' Master Plan and Petra Williams in Inferno.

Clifford Earl - was also the station sergeant in The Daleks' Master Plan.

Ian Fairbairn - was alsao Questor in The Macra Terror, Bromley in Inferno and Dr Chester in The Seeds of Doom.

Sally Faulkner - played a variety of characters in audio: Miss Tremayne in Winter for the Adept, General Brennan in teh Bernice Summerfield audio The Secret of Cassandra and Captain Wells in the BBV Sontaran audio, Old Soldiers.

Peter Halliday - also played Plectrac in Carnival of Monsters, a soldier ib City of Death, and the vicar in Remembrance of the Daleks, as well as providing voices in The Silurians and The Ambassadors of Death.

John Levene - famously plated a Yeti in The Web of Fear and The War Games.

Wendy Padbury - also played Lorraine Baynes in the audio Davros.

Robert Sidaway - was Avon in The Savages.

Kevin Stoney - also played Mvic Chen in The Daleks' Master Plan and Tyrum in Revenge of the Cybermen.

Patrick Troughton - also played Salamander in Enemy of the World.

And that's not counting the people in the cyber-suits!

Undoubtedly, Douglas Camfield recast many of his actors in numerous stories, but the sheer reusability of the cast in The Invasion is rather startling!

The Invasion... of guest stars. I wonder if they underwent as many design changes as the Cybermen?

Seriously though, that's some incredible researching there. I'm impressed.

You can also add Walter Randall to the list - small part in episode 1 of Invasion, also in about 5 other stories, including Camfield's The Crusade, The Daleks' Master Plan, and Inferno.

And on another note, Sheila Dunn was married to Camfield - and interestingly enough her 3 appearances were all in stories directed by him...
