I'm kind of glad you didn't get it, because then I escape from a reputation of making terrible puns.

There are those from the masses and there are those like myself and many here, who are unique in their tastes. Be thankful.

And then there are us with a lame sense of humour, like me.

In the words of Eccleston, I don't do hugs (actually I don't think he said that, and he did hug Rose, but it seems to fit). Well, actually, I do. *hugs back*

The question remains...

are you weird or simply is the world to mixed up to take you on board?

I'm 16, hav a gf, friends and none seem to like WHO and consider it lame with poor special effects..simply smoke and mirrors and dud acting but then in turn i say "isn't that what politics is all about?"

lol Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant are my Doctors since I love new WHO most of all(its what made me a fan) and lets face it...

No one can deny hw hot Billie Piper is in those close fitting shirts Wink

Are you weird? Are any of us weird? No way!!

Never be scared of being who you are. Too many teenagers (and adults too probably) spend their time denying who they really are to fit in with the crowd.

That's what IS really sad, imagine living like that, pretending to dislike the things that really make you happy? Stay true to yourself and you'll attracted the genuine people to you, that is where the real, lifelong friendships and happiness lie.

I didn't go for all that "teenagey" stuff, way back when!! Thanks to that I managed to find myself a Whovian-Red Dwarfer (also Star Trek, which I just can't warm to) to marry and we're now busy raising the next generation of like-minded souls!

Good luck to you, montypython, and all the others out there reading this who feel like a minority!! You have an exceptional sense of humour (obviously, from your username! Does this mean you'll be queing for tickets to Spamalot in Melbourne later this year??!), exceptional taste in companions (long live Rose *sigh*) and good taste in men (I have a giddy crush on David Tennant!!) Wink Wink

I celebrate weirdness. The world would be such a boring, mundane, and - here's the clincher - MAINSTREAM world if it wasn't for cults, and generally weirdness. If we're all labelled weird because we don't fit into the absolutely crap dullness of reality TV watchers, then so be it!

AHH!! IT HUGGED ME!! IT HUGGED ME!! HUMAN GERMS HUMAN GERMS!!

hey, on the subject of weird, did you know you get strange looks when you actually yell that out in public?

also, does it mean i'm weird if i'm constantly asked if i'm on drugs and i've never even seen any drugs except in pictures??

I'd like to thank everyone for their words of encouragement. I have come to realise that it's great to have something to be passionate about, and I intend to keep it up for as long as I can Very Happy

It's ironic that people always ask "are you on drugs?" to people who blatantly aren't the type. Besides which, those that ask are generally those that do. I think I speak for all Who fans when I say that Nightmare of Eden taught us that drugs are wrong... and come from big aliens.

People grow really irritated with the frequency that I say "There's no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes". And I have actually sat in art class and argued against postmodern art with the riposte "It doesn't matter what it looks like? Some would say that's the whole point of art...". I've been recently trying to fit "you have the mouth of a prattling jackanapes" into conversation, but usually forget. Dang.

And montypython, once you're in, you're in. For better or worse. Muwahahahahahaha! (I tried to beat Morgaine's record then but couldn't)

Laughing Too true, Sulp! ya just gotta love that big huggable alien that turned to a highly addictive and deadly substance when burnt to a crisp!

also, fitting DW quotes into everyday life totally rock. i'm so frequently saying "don't listen to me, i never do", that my friends are use to it now, but when i say it to strangers... the looks vary from "WTF?, whatever" to "Did you miss your dose of medication for your mental disorder this morning?"

Then i say "Don't look at me like that, i'm no loon" (Spy Kids 2) and they continue their confused stare. oh, the fun of it!

i reckon the 4th doctor has the best quotes ever!!!

That's a relief. I was worried I'd wake up one day, look at my TARDIS wardrobe, my sonic screwdriver and my 30 odd DW books and decide I didn't like it anymore ....

Hang your head in shame, montypython, how could you entertain such a thought??

Go and write lines "I shall never let indecent thoughts enter my mind again" 1000 times by tea-time, please.

Oddly enough, I'm a great reader of DW fan fiction too, and I am sad enough that I've made mini-Short Trips style fan fic anthologies (without releasing them into the public domain, obviously). In fact, and I know a lot of fans will kill me for this, but considering all Doctor Who these days is technically fan fiction, I see no reason not to include many fanfics into continuity and canon...

*ducks at oncoming abuse*

By the way, Faraway, does "indecent thoughts" refer to... erm, never mind.
