Hello, what episode are they up to in series three?

I don't want to miss any if I "acquire" them for the next video evening.

Thank you,

Seamus. Smile

Thanks Meglos. Smile

I think I acquired episode one and two in the wrong format - AVI - and about 350MB in size. This would look crappy on a TV screen I think.

I have a dvd player that will play the avi format and they are perfect. Just as good as the broadcast version.

The other alternative is to convert avi to dvd formats but as divX (avi) players are so cheap now it's just as easy to get one of them.

Bummer. Sad

I recently bought a cheap DVD player with a DVD movie purchase from EzyDVD, but yesterday it did not play the 350MB AVI I copied to a blank DVD.

I thought it would have played the AVI because I (perhaps wrongly) assume the player is a fairly recent model and capable of DIVX, which has been out for a long time. It's a JMK-818H player and it doesn't mention DIVX in the specifications though. :/

Oh well, I need to contact Joel and see if he can play DIVX on his player or mabye look into buying my own portable player.

Or I could convert it but I think there is too much loss and it would be better to download a 700MB MPEG instead... if I could find them and I've had little luck in this area. AVIs seem the most common.

Hey Seamus

You need to buy a DVD player that says it plays DIVX files, there a lot out there that still don't play DIVX. I bought mine from Aldi a couple of years ago and in big letters on the front of it, it says it plays DIVX files. This DVD player only cost 60 bucks.

Cheers

Fred
