| Yeah house was more evil than usual. Good to see a refocus on the paient though. Also good that House has a nemesis but we don't have to look at him. |

On Monday I saw the Scrubs episode My House and you guess it, the episode does have references to House.
It started when an intern mentioned what he saw in House when examining a patient in which another intern responded that House is a genius. Dr Cox reacted by hitting both interns on the head saying that this isn't a TV show they are experiencing!
Also later on in the episode Dr Cox himself acted as House even to the point of holding a cane (as a result of his foot getting hurt by a heavy box) as he solves the problems that is presented in the episode.
Very funny. |

I wasn't aware they were still making Scrubs.
Do you know why someone can't get two illnesses at once? The ep never seems to explain it properly. |

Have no idea.
Finding Judas:
Oh my what a surprise at the end as Wilson betrays House. Also a surprise that it was Chase who figured out what was wrong with the little girl only to be punched by House as a result of it. |

Merry Little Christmas:
Despite the name of the episode, it is not the Merry Little Christmas for House.
I also see guest star Meredith Eaton-Gilden (Maddy) in a recurring role in Boston Legal. She's not bad here.
This episode talked about rehabilitation. Coincidentally The West Wing episode Mandatory Minimums which I saw this morning on Arena also talked about rehabilitation and it also mentioned a character who was played by one Lisa Edelstein (although she herself did not appear in this particular West Wing episode).
Unfortunately (or should I say fortunately since I also watch Heroes on 7) next week House is back in repeat mode and have to wait to see the next new episode. |

| I can taste House's death. I can't imagine any way out of this now. If they plan to continue the series then they've really dug themselves into a hole now. |

And with a few taps on the writers computers keyboard, all Houses problems were resolved and he was back to his old self. |

Did they not "cure" House at the beginning of this season?
Did they not fix his leg, and his drug addition, because he was no longer in constant pain?
And then we had a different version of "House".
So they brought back the pain and the drug addition that results.
Back to the "old" House.
Was it last season they had the billionaire take over the hospital to liven up the series and to introduce "conflict"? That lasted 5 episodes (about) before it all went back to "normal".
This season we have the "cop on a vendetta against House" driving the "b" story behind the "a" stories. A variation of the "billionaire takes over the hospital". (Personally I don't see any police officer being given so much time to spend on a single case against a Doctor he "thinks" is dangerous, especially being allowed to act in such a totalitarian manner).
I expect the writers worked out a resolution to the current "cop" story arc before they went down that road. He'll turn out to be bent, or suspended, or realize that House does more good than harm, even when on pain meds. And the writers will push the "reset" button and we'll be back where we started. Or maybe not .....
The problem with a series like "House" is the basic premise.
House is a drug addict (for what ever reason) who's a brilliant diagnostician.
My understanding is that many people tuned in initially because of the medical side. The strange illnesses that House diagnoses. That's what interested the early audience.
As the writers try to keep that concept interesting week after week, it gets more difficult, so the various character driven subplots come in. The audience may or may not like this depending on what they tuned in for.
Personally I prefer the medical side of the show to the character driven stories.
Getting that balance in a series like House is important if you don't want to lose viewers. In the USA viewers of the original CSI started to tune out when the writers tried to do more character driven stories. It didn't interest the viewer. The dropped the idea, (not totally), and went back to interesting mysteries.
Hopefully "House" will get back to it's roots. I found the billionaire subplot boring and I'm finding the vendetta cop the same. It's gone on too long.
What's really beginning to annoy me about House are the Channel 10 promos that "promise" what is ultimately not delivered.
BTW: Can you say "crap" on the forum? |

I'm not sure. I think people have said it before. In any case it seems as if only about 5 people read this thread so I couldn't see it offending too many people. SOrry if it did. |

Well, I was under the impression that there was some form of "swear" filter that stopped the use of such words. And that the moderators didn't encourage such things. Wasn't there something about swearing in the sign-up?
I have noticed on some forums people take the approach of eg; typing an "f" followed by some hash or percentage signs, followed by a "k". Of course we all know what it means but no-one seems to object, despite the use of such language not being allowed on the site.
With such a rich language I personally find the constant use of "swears" a lazy approach to expressing ones self. No offense intended. |

New House is back on this Wednesday May 9 which comes fourth place in TV WEEK's highlights of the day.
Funny thing from the trailer of this is when House talks to someone on the phone and says not to call him while he is on trial! |

Words and Deeds:
In another case of this being a small world, I also see guest star Jason George (Brock) in What About Brian.
Not completely satisfied about the way the medical case got played out in the end but am satisfied with the main issue of House and Twitter seems to be resolved. |

Did someone hit the "RESET" button?
After a story arc over a few weeks of House being pursuded by a police officer who took offense to being left in an examination room with a rectal thermometer inserted, (and to be fair to House the officer did physcially trip him when he felt House wasn't giving him enough attention), it all came to a conclusion last night.
The police officer isn't "bent", he's just obcessed with getting House, (as suggested because of something that happened to him in the past?), but because his friends defended him, and because House wasn't flooding the city with crack, the judge dismissed the case.
House did book himself into rehab, but that turns out to have been nothing more than a stunt, which also got him access to the drugs he wanted, so we're right back to where we were.
Did someone hit the "RESET" button?
Bad luck Charlie. Can you say "c#@p"? |

That was TERRIBLE! It was too soapy, was wrapped up too easily and quickly, that guy lost his mind for no reason (not like house to make a mistake like that) AND the ending didn't even make sense!
House was convicted of
Signing false documents
stealing from patients
contempt of court
and irresponible conduct
and all he got was one night in gaol. Its just disgraceful! If they were planning that from the start, for however many weeks, they could have done a much better job than that. What's worse is that now they can do it all over again with an even more irritating villian.
The real villian of this story is the writer. |

Technically he wasn't actually convicted of anything but comtempt of court as the case was dismissed.
You were expecting a different resolution?
It's the second time they've run a story arc like this, that's wrapped up very quickly hitting the reset button at the end. (See billionare previously). I expect they'll do something along this line again next year.
I watch House for the interesdting medical stories not for all the background drama. If they don't want to lose more viewers the producers and writers need to consider what sort of show they want to make.
See this NEWS link: (if it'sd still there).

One Day, One Room:
This episode shown last week had a fantastic performance from guest star Katheryn Winnick. However I did not like how her character's situation got resolved.
The next new episode on Wednesday May 30 comes second place in TV WEEK's highlights of the day. |

Needle In a Haystack:
The wheelchair bound doctor is very pretty.
So funny when Wilson called House, Doctor Ironside as he is using a wheelchair in order to get back his parking space. Ironside is the name of a TV series in which the title character is a wheelchair bound detective played by Raymond Burr in his most famous role other than Perry Mason. In fact there is an irony of Burr playing Ironside given that he had appeared in the Alfred Hitchcock film Rear Window. People who have seen Rear Window will know what I mean. This is for the benefit of those who may not have gotten the Ironside reference.
Another case of this being a small world as Jessy Schram (Leah) was seen briefly in the preview for next week's Medium, the show which comes after House in transmission. |
