I Forgot Fulton Mackay, who was in 'The Silurians... by the way Fulton Mackay was Considered by Barry Letts for the 4th-Doctor!
Anyway,
The ending of this movie has a Similar ending of the movie "The Wickerman", which Peter Cushing was considered to be in... But at the time he was busy;

I have just finished the 1977 movie Age of Innocence (not the Martin Scorsese film of the same name) starring David Warner and Honor Blackman which was on the ABC last week.
The film has David Warner playing a teacher at a boys boarding school not long after the end of World War I and Honor as sort of a love interest.
Watching the film made me think of Human Nature/The Family of Blood on Doctor Who since David Tennant had also played a teacher at a boarding school albeit before not after World War I. Age of Innocence is basically like the Doctor Who story only without the science fiction elements.
Therefore for the Doctor Who story Tennant could easily represent Warner while Jessia Hynes represented Honor. |
