For people who do not yet know, the Big Finish August release of the main Doctor Who range Frozen Time http://www.bigfinish.com/drwho_main/bf098_frozentime.shtml starring Sylvester McCoy guest stars former Bond girl Maryam D'Abo.
Interestingly Maryam's equally beautiful sister Olivia had guest starred in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode True Q.
It is known that there have been actors who had appeared in both Doctor Who and Star Trek but this is the first time that I am aware that one sibling has been on Doctor Who while another was on Star Trek.
Unfortunately I am way behind with the Big Finish releases (it took me two and a half years for example to finally hear Daphne Ashbrook in The Next Life) which means it will be quite a while before I listen to Frozen Time.
Incidentally other future Big Finish guest stars I like to hear one day are Ron Moody and Claudia Christian.
28/10: The thread originally started as news about Maryam D'Abo's casting. I am now making it a general thread about guest stars on Big Finish.

Um, not sure what you mean by this. You'd like them to guest star or you'd like to hear them in the plays they've already been in (Other Lives for Ron Moody and The Reaping for Claudia Christian) - but the use of the word 'future' has thrown me. |

"Future" meaning the ones I have not got yet but am aware of their appearances in them. |

| Ironic this, because isn't there that tale about McCoy and Dalton working together in 1986, complaining about the lack of work? And the next year, Dalton is carted off to work with Ms D'Abo. |

So for once, I pointed out a fantastically amazing weird coincidental link before you did, Theta!
Not that it's a competition. |

Just bought DWM 386. Very delighted when I read that Jenny Agutter is in the upcoming Big Finish story The Bride of Peladon (to be released in January 2008 featuring the Fifth Doctor, Peri and Erimem).
I remember seeing her in Red Dwarf years ago thinking that this isn't good enough she should be in Doctor Who. Glad that this finally been rectified. |

Interesting news on one of upcoming Big Finish adventures of the Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller that I picked up on the Big Finish site. One of the upcoming Eighth Doctor plays is The Zygon Who Fell To Earth. This guest stars The Goodies' Tim Brooke-Taylor as Big Finish completes the Goodies set as fellow Goodies Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie have appeared in past Doctor Who Big Finish plays.
Also in The Zygon Who Fell To Earth is Steven Pacey (Tarrant in Blake's 7). His appearance means that now 11 of the 13 regulars of original Blake's 7 has appeared in Doctor Who or in Doctor Who-related projects. The only two Blake's 7 original regular cast members to not yet appear in the Whoniverse are Josette Simon (Dayna) and Glynis Barber (Soolin). |

I recently found out that Miranda Raison has appeared on Big Finish in The Davros Mission which is included exclusively on the Davros Collection DVD set.
Her Daleks In Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks co-star Eric Loren has also done a Big Finish in the Sixth Doctor story Assassin In The Limelight which also guest stars Lysette Anthony. Ms Anthony has finally done a Who.
Interestingly from the Regeneration book about the making of the 1996 TV movie Ms Anthony was on a list of actresses to play Grace. Ms Anthony was not chosen for Grace because according to the book she was too expensive to get.
Situations must have changed since then considering the fact that Big Finish has a smaller budget to the production team who made the TV movie. |

I have just found out that Alexander Siddig has appeared in Sisters of the Flame & Vengeance of Morbius which forms the two parter to end the second season of the Eighth Doctor New Adventures.
While they have been actors who have appeared in both Doctor Who and Star Trek, Alexander Siddig who had played Dr Julian Bashir in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine becomes the first Star Trek regular to ever appear in Doctor Who. Siddig's appearance on Big Finish's Doctor Who range is perhaps not surprising since he had earlier appeared in the Big Finish production of Phantom of the Opera.
Incidentally one of the love interests to Dr Bashir on DS9 was Daphne Ashbrook when she guest starred in the series in the season 2 episode Melora playing the title character. Ms Ashbrook later became Eighth Doctor companion Grace Holloway in the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie. |
