Since I have come to the view that this morning's Torchwood episode Random Shoes feels like an episode of Ghost Whisperer, I have decided to start this thread on Ghost Whisperer starring Jennifer Love Hewitt.
A couple of days ago I found out that season 2 will finally start on 7 next week on Thursday August 23 7:30pm. |

| Deborah Grunfeld from Who Magazine has given the return of Ghost Whisperer tonight on 7 a good review with three stars. She says that "Whisperer is a weird little show that shouldn't appeal to a general audience but does, thanks to the charm of bouncy [Jennifer Love] Hewitt." |

Love Still Won't Die:
Second episode of season 2 and it finished off the storyline that began as a subplot from the season opener.
Aisha Tyler's name is no longer in the title sequence and was surprised that she has been replaced by Camryn Manheim (Delia). When I saw in the preview last week, I thought she was a guest star not a regular. Look forward to see more of Camryn.
Also in this episode is Lacey Chabert and it took me sometime to remember that she was Jennifer's co-star in Party of Five. In fact there is an in-joke when Melinda first meets Donna (Lacey) as if she recognises her. Lacey is credited as "Special Guest Starring"! Why not simply Special Guest Star.
The end of the episode seems to reveal a new recurring threat in the season. Interesting to see what this is about. |

A Vicious Cycle:
Lindy Booth is an excellent guest star as we see the emotional impact between a mother and a daughter. |

The Night We Met:
It is finally revealed from this episode how Melinda and Jim first met. Well told along with the episode's other plotline about a burning ghost. |

The Curse of the Ninth:
Quite a good episode about a musician and his struggle to fully present his talent.
Giving Up The Ghost:
A pretty scary ghost in this one, perhaps one of the scariest the series has ever shown. |

Cat's Claw:
This one is very very creepy. Much scarier than the previous episode Giving Up the Ghost.
Very top notch this episode. |

The Collector:
The third to last episode of season 2 and things are sure are warming up for the season finale.
Professor Payne finds out something disturbing about what his wife did and that seems to be something significant to the overall story arc for this season.
If the season 2 finale will be as good as The Collector then I sure look forward to see how season 2 ends. |

| According to aryan3 at tvaus.com, Ghost Whisperer will return on 7 on Thursday April 3 8:30pm in double episodes starting with the last two episodes of season 2. It would seem that Ghost Whisperer is being the filler in that slot until Lost season 4 is ready to resume screening. |

The Underneath:
Quite a surprise that Melinda's mother lived in Grandview before.
Uh oh that blog guy downloaded files about Melinda from Rick's computer.
Speaking of which Jay Mohr's name is finally added to the regular cast.
Don't Try This at Home:
The thing about 7 showing double episodes of anything is that they do not include the credits for the second of the two episodes meaning we do not know who are the guests until we see them.
The guests here include Autumn Reeser and Kevin Kilner. Autumn I had seen before in The O.C. and she presents a very good performance in this chilling episode of the Bloody Mary legend. |

Haunted Hero:
This is somewhat of an unusual episode because instead of a ghost making closure with a loved one in order to move on, this episode is about a soldier getting over his guilt on having survived while his unit were killed in the Iraq War.
At first the episode implied that the soldier survived due to cowardice but a plausible and satisfying explanation comes along. |

Weight of What Was:
Amy Acker guest stars in this episode and she has a pretty good interaction with Jennifer Love Hewitt and what a surprise that Amy's character turned out to be Melinda's grandmother's grandmother! Also what a shock that Melinda's father is a baddie. |

Double Exposure:
This episode guest stars the lovely Victoria Pratt (formerly of Mutant X) as Claudia. Also a good guest stint from Azura Skye as Sophie.
Was not surprised with the true extent of the relationship between Claudia and Kevin.
Like the song that was played when Sophie told the story of what really happened.
This is the last we will be seeing of the show for the time being as 7 is replacing it next week with Bones. |
