Anyone watching the Bill right now will get great pleasure in watching Slyvester McCoy playing a criminal with an attitude.

Fans of old Sylvester might also want to get their hands on one of The Secret Policeman's Ball videos/DVDs. I can't recall exactly which instalment it was - The Other Ball, The Other Other Ball; there were quite a few - but it's from the early 80s.
He does quite a unique, hilarious act which involves him in his undies, a model train and a fishfork. Watching it, it's quite easy to spot the kind of clownish character he carried through into stories like The Greatest Show in the Galaxy.
I'd be intrigued to see this performance as a bad guy in The Bill. Might have to go searching on youtube.

I thought it amusing when Jack Meadows said "You know more about time than Stephen Hawking"

Ian McKellen is playing King Lear in a Royal Shakespeare Company production at the Melbourne Arts Cenre at the end of July, with Sylvester McCoy as The Fool.

There is a warning of nudity on stage. Hopefully not The Fool.

(It's Lear)

Ironic,
Syl was in the episode with 'Simon Rouse', who was in KINDA
(he played Hindle)
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0745869/

'simon has been in 'The Bill' for a while! and what's also Ironic,
Jeff Stewart was in KINDA as well (He played Dukkha) he has been in 'The Bill' since the start!

So, Simon Rouse and Jeff Stewart both in KINDA, & then they end up in The Bill together Idea

And
did i mention 'Graham Cole' also from The Bill... He has a past in 'Who;
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0170559/

`I remember seeing Graham Cole at the start of SHADA.. but it's not listed here:

Full Circle: Part 1 (25 October 1980) - Marshman
The Keeper of Traken: Part 1 (31 January 1981) - Melkur (uncredited)
Kinda: Part 1 (1 February 1982) - Kinda (uncredited)
Kinda: Part Four (9 February 1982) - Kinda (uncredited)
Earthshock: Part 3 (15 March 1982) - Cyberman (uncredited)
Time-Flight: Part 1 (22 March 1982) - Melkur (uncredited)
Resurrection of the Daleks: Part 1 (8 February 1984) - Crewmember
The Twin Dilemma: Part 1 (22 March 1984) - Jacondan (uncredited)

Anyway, i saw once an interview Jeff Stewart did with Katy Manning on UKTV about 'The Bill'.

Sylvester was seen briefly last night on the 7.30 Report playing the fool to Sir Ian McKellen's King Lear. It was a teaser promoting Kerry O'Brien's interview later with Sir Ian McKellen.
