This coming Saturday December 15, 7 is showing the 2007 TV movie of Marco Polo at 8:30pm for almost three and a half hours. Marco Polo should be of interest to Doctor Who fans as there is a Doctor Who serial that bears the famous explorer's name. The 2007 TV movie of course has nothing to do with Doctor Who so don't expect the Doctor to turn up.

This movie stars Ian Somerhalder (Lost) and it has not been given good reviews. So I mention this movie here if anyone chooses to see it as a result of liking the Doctor Who serial.

The movie was between not bad and not good. Ian Somerhalder was fine as Marco Polo but what is with the casting of Brian Dennehy as Kublai Khan!

I thought casting Caucasian actors in Asian roles was a thing of the past.
