This idea I thought of which I liked and I hope you like it:
The Doctor arrives in present day London, trying to find a time sensative monster which when the Doctor finds the creature, it is holding an old man hostage, but the Doctor is curious why that certain person until he finds out that that man has travel through the time continuem but who is he. After the Doctor saves him, he asks questions about the man such as who is he but they are still persued by time sensative creatures. Later in the story, the Doctor finds out that a maniac who is after the old man since he thinks the old man can tell him the secrets of time travel. At the end after beating the enemy, the Doctor talks to old man, which then asks him how would he be able to have travelled through time which the old man says, "You wouldn't beleive me but, I used to know an old man who travelled through space and even time and he showed me things, that was unbeleivable and which seemed impossible".
The Doctor: "Who was this man."
Ian: "I never knew his name. Always called himself The Doctor"
The Doctor smiles
The Doctor: "Come, I've got something to show you"
The Doctor gets up and walks to Tardis quickly, the old man follows. The old man stops in front of a police box without noticeing it. The Doctor pops his head out of the Tardis door and talks to him.
The Doctor: "Come in"
The door wide open, the old man slowly walks in. Glances around and finally meets eye to eye with the Doctor. The old man was speechless.
Ian: "But, it can't be, Doctor"
The Doctor: (Smileing) "Ian"
Ian: "But, but how, you were so old and here you are so young"
The Doctor: "Curse of a Time Lord. Every time we die, we come back with a new look. Funny though once I had big teeth and curls" |

| I like the idea of Ian returning, to see how his life has been. |
