Quoted from MattLPearson at the Doctor Who Forum on March 20 2008:
"Here's one I didn't see coming...

Picked up issue three of the Torchwood Magazine this morning and it announces that a Torchwood radio play written by Jospeh Lidster was recorded in March."

It is unknown at this time when the radio episode will be broadcast but MattLPearson later quoted Torchwood Magazine as saying that it is "at the heart of Radio 4's [UK] spring schedule."

Hmm.

Lidster has apparently written a Torchwood audio called In the Shadows, a synopsis for which is available at amazon.co.uk (contains spoilers...), which this radio play may be the same thing as. Amazon lists it as being released on 11/9/08.

It is, however, stated as being read by a member of the cast, rather than being a full-cast play.

The choices are:
    1. there are two different things written by Joe Lidster, an audio play and a story to be read by one actor, or
    2. there is only one thing, and either Torchwood Magazine or Amazon have got some of the details wrong. My money's on Amazon having it wrong, if this is the case.

Time will tell!

Found out at the Doctor Who Forum that the episode will come on July 8.

Warning it takes place after the events of the season 2 finale Exit Wounds and season has not yet been shown on Australian TV.

Been reading at the Doctor Who Forum and the Torchwood radio episode which had been expected to be available now for listen at the BBC Radio 4 website has been delayed.

Apparently the new date is now August 7.

Well it is August 6 and as far as I can tell it is not time yet for the radio episode to come on.

The date of broadcast is September 10. Whether coincidental or not September 10 2008 is the 15th anniversary of The X-Files and Torchwood has been said to be like a British X-Files.
