People may remember the British TV series Afterlife which starred Lesley Sharp (who was Chris Eccleston's co-star in The Second Coming) as a psychic and Andrew Lincoln.

Well Afterlife will be coming to UKTV. That is according to a new promo which showed the names of shows that the channel will be showing in the near future. Exact date for Afterlife on UKTV is as yet unknown.

Season 1 was shown on Channel 9 back in 2005 (in fact the series was shown first in Australia before the UK) but 9 has not bothered to show the second and last season. Hopefully the show's acquisition by UKTV will rectify this.

Season 2 was finally shown on the weekend on UKTV.

Roadside Bouquets:
I was quite surprised playing Darren was Ed Westwick who is now a regular on the US show Gossip Girl. Yet another Brit pretending to be an American.
Great to finally to see season 2 as it has been almost three years since season 1 was first shown in Australia.
Lesley Sharp and Andrew Lincoln are still terrific in their lead roles with the latter as Robert quite effective not being a complete skeptic anymore.
Also lovely to see Anna Wilson Jones again.
I found Robert's two students to be very irritating.
Quite a surprising revelation on what really happened.

The Rat Man:
Season 2, Episode 2.
Very scary moment was when the rats was on Allison's bed.
The Ratman of the title was also very scary.

Lullaby:
Season 2, Episode 3.
This episode featured a guest stint by Zoe Telford. Zoe Telford had played Andrew Lincoln's (Robert) girlfriend in the first season of Teachers.

However there was no such reunion in the Afterlife episode between the two as they did not appear together at all.

So there is an Afterlife for Teachers.

As to Lullaby itself sad to learn about Robert's tumour.
The episode is scary but unfortunately has a tragic ending.

Mirrorball:
Season 2, Episode 5.
Although a couple of mirrorballs do appear in this episode that is not what the episode is about. As far as I can tell the episode title is a metaphor to a way of living for Gemma.
I have no sympathy for Gemma (Natalia Tena; although a nice surprise of her in her birthday suit) and this is perhaps the worst episode of the series ever.
I also do not like Robert saying that Faith is like a virus.

A Name Written In Water:
The final episode of the series.
Very intense the scene with Allison and the night nurse.
Teary moments when Barbara read Robert's unpublished book and the last scene of Robert and Allison.
Very sad ending to what has been a brilliant series.
