Read this the other day. Seemed like Terrence had just lifted slabs of his previous listless novels and put the eigth doctor in them until Peter. Number six seemed exceptional and didnt fit with the mundane novel it was in. Almost like Dicks wrote the book but couldn't get the length up.
And why didnt the Doctor just visit number seven and avoid the whole book anyway? |

Hahahahah I need to read this book again. It's hilariously bad. And in a way that I don't honestly look down on it, just find it innocently and naively silly.
The best bit for me was the start, where the TVM was dismissed as nonsensical and the Doctor goes back to the white console room, where he "truly belongs". And then Dicks writes a story that's waaaay more nonsensical and rubbish than the TVM. You gotta love him. |

| It was good however when he explained away the master turning into a snake and being made of goop and such. |

| I don't even remember that! Hmm, as I said, I should read it again. When I muster up the energy and courage. |

| I didn't think this book was to bad. Dicks Who stories are always written in an easy reading way. That doesn't mean that they're bad. |

| I don't mind the writing. I liked the TARGET books as a kid (though this was in the 90s). It's the plot and characters that sort of... don't work for me. |
