Awww!
I tried to get a DW ringtone, but my extremely crappy phone won't allow it
I watched Zathura today. It featured a robot which reminded me a lot of K-1 from Robot.
It also had a guy in it who, from some angles, reminded me of John Barrowman. |

| Once again, Adam Spencer talked about Doctor Who on ABC Radio. He said The Stolen Earth was the best episode he'd ever seen, commented on the return of Davros, and apologied for mentioning spoilers last week. |

| On ABC Radio this morning (again!) a viewer rang up and said that the Manly Sea Eagles were just like the Daleks - they keep getting stronger and stronger. Adam Spencer then went, "Exterminate!" |

I saw that artwork four days ago. Quite good.
In the Eureka season 3 episode I Do Over, Doctor Who gets referenced not once but three times. If people have seen this episode will understand why. |

| Switching over to Collectors tonight, there was a guy with a nice sci fi collection - including a large TARDIS and a Dalek. |

Here is a question from TV Week's weekly online quiz:
4. UK drama Secret Diary Of A Call Girl stars which former Doctor Who companion?
Louise Jameson (Leela)
Billie Piper (Rose)
Elisabeth Sladen (Sarah Jane)
Freema Agyeman (Martha) |

| On Neighbours tonight, Zeke and Ringo bought a new car. Apparently they traded in an old one, which they called, "Bessie"! |

I play this game on the net where you have to run your own country. Each dayyou get an issue to solve with options from different members of the commu nnity. Its basically a big markeing ploy for the book its based on but I was very surprised to find this in one of the options.
"Great Scot! I've got it!" exclaims Charles Steele, your science advisor. |

| I was reading The Annals of Imperial Rome by Tacitus, and at one point I had to re-read a bit because I'd seen a DW reference. I didn't - it was talking about the "Silures". But then, 3 pages later, it mentioned, "Silurian country"! |

I was listening to yesterday's edition of The Race Race (Chaser commentary on the US election), and they were talking about the use of robo-calls. They said it was quite risky, and that they could get out of control:
"Hello, I'm calling for John McCain, and the Orange Seat *You must obey me! I created you! I am the master, not you! I! I! I!*"
"I'm John McCain and I approve this message."
I have to admit when they mentioned robots getting out of control, I had an inkling that they were going to use Daleks. |

| On The Race Race today (again!), they were playing strange YouTube songs in support of Obama. One of them was an oddly robotic repetition of his name, to which Chas Licciardello commented, "It seems that the Daleks have endorsed Obama!" |

During an break of 90210 on 10, saw the ad for Freeview which briefly included the opening title sequence of the current Doctor Who TV series.
Nice to be represented here. |

| On Newstopia last night he said that vandals had broken into Steven Hawking's Hhouse and permaneently altered the voice modulator. Cut to Hawking who has a croaky robot voice and him getting steadily angrier until he threatened to exterminate the vandals. lol |

I just saw that Stephen Hawking clip. The voice sounded more Cyberman than Dalek to me. Anyway we all get the joke |

| For those of you who don't watch The Sarah Jane Adventures, one of the children in the show is called Rani. |

I mentioned last year that references in related shows does not really count. After all it is like counting the number of times that Klingons have been mentioned and seen in the post original Star Trek shows. |

| Well, I think in the case of SJA it's more likely to be a reference to the Rani, as opposed to in a completely non Who-related show where it could just be coincidence (or, like other people have commented, having seen someone in the street called Rani). That's why I see it as a more valid reference - an in-joke, if you will. |

I watched my first episode of The Big Bang Theory today, which is a sitcom involving geniuses/nerds. One of them was explaining their Saturday morning schedule, saying that every Saturday at 6:15 a.m. they sit down on the couch, turn on BBC America and watch Doctor Who.
After being slightly delayed, they said they would watch the remaining 24 minutes, which suggests that they were watching a classic episode. |
