I had to laugh when I saw the 24 hour clock in the 'beginning/end' sequence. What are the chances that the planet Deva Loka would have the same number of hours in a day as Earth. Very remote. However, I guess another clock would not have made sense to the viewer. |

Well - now this one is over, I now remember why I didnt like Adric. If I had have been the Doctor I would have left him behind.

When I first watched Kinda some years ago I couldn't believe that Nyssa was absent for most of the story.
Didn't like Kinda the first time but is actually much better from seeing it in the recent screening. Overall it is worth 3.5/5 for me.
A fanzine was later named after Kinda. The reason why I know this is because I have been reading in DWM 351 the article on the radio play Regenerations, a fictional account about Doctor Who fans with special guest appearances by Tom Baker and Sophie Aldred as themselves. Regenerations was written by Daragh Carville who had written on the Kinda fanzine. |

Yeah, that was a good story, I quite enoyed it. Pitty Nyssa was cast aside. Do we find out what was wrong with her or did I miss something?
Anyway, it was great stuff! Another good thing about it is that it means we are one step closer to Adrics death! |

She was supposedly ill due to a lack of oxygen in Four to Dommsday (presumably caused by having so swallow so much nonsense she couldn't breeathe properly).
In the real world, apparently Sarah Sutton's contract was for two episodes less than the whole season, and the 2nd and 3rd episodes of Kinda were the ones.
Over in the audio world, Big Finish have taken this incident and combined it with something from Time Flight to create a sub-plot for Nyssa, which was wound up in the audio story Primeval. (I'm avoiding saying what from Time Flight, as some people may never have seen it and it will be shown on the ABC in a few weeks...) |
