Whatever has been said of Adric he has at least has to be commended in trying to stop the android.
It is revealed at the end on what caused the Great Fire. The Great Fire was on September 2 1666 which meant the episode last night was aired four days after the Great Fire's 339th anniversary; there was even a mention of the Great Fire in yesterday's instalment of Little Britain on Radio National.
The montage for The Visitation DVD menu includes the revelation of Pudding Lane at the end which immediately gives away the ending to people who haven't seen it before.
The London scenes was incorporated in the BBC news report on Peter Davison's departure as the Doctor. This report is included in The Caves of Androzani DVD.
The DVD commentary that director Peter Moffatt does here with Peter and co, is actually better than the one he did with Colin and co on the Two Doctors. On The Visitation it is quite funny that he keeps on asking why did this and that happened in which Janet Fielding points out each time "You're the director!"
The character of Richard Mace was originally created by writer Eric Saward for three radio plays but the radio Mace as played by Geoffrey Matthews, I have read, is slightly different to the one portrayed by Michael Robbins here on The Visitation.

Update on Antony Root credit: Just this morning and hours after the conclusion of The Visitation saw the Blake's 7 episode Dawn of the Gods (without subtitles) on DVD which had The Visitation script editor Antony Root as assistant floor manager.

And dont forget, if it hadnt been for the Great Fire, London would not have been re-built into the metropolis is is today!

Grim Reaper was cool, I still can't get over the fact that Adric/Nyssa are supposed to be children/teenagers... I never thought of them as that when I was young.
