Pyramids of Mars gets my vote as best story over all, but there's plenty of good'uns in this season...

Terror of the Zygons takes this one for me, but Pyramids is a very close second. So many good stories to choose from, nearly all of them are classics, IMO.

Except for the Skarasen, which is not the best, everything is really well realised. The explosion of the Zygon craft at the end is one of the best model shots ever in Classic Who. The zygons look great, having them whisper is cool, and it's always fun to have dopplegangers around. Nice to see UNIT in this one, too.

EDIT: Looking at that list again, it's hard not to go with Seeds of Doom. Still, I can't change my vote, so I'll stick with the zygons.

I think this season might be my favourite from the whole series. I'm not a big fan of Planet, but love all the others. A fantastic year for Who, yet both preceeded and followed by seasons nearly as good. I think this is the glory days of Who, but must admit I grew up on Tom Baker's Who.

The Seeds of Doom is my favourite Tom Baker story.
It terrified me so much it took me literally months to summon the courage to watch the last episode when I got the video aged 9

Definitely the hardest choice yet! After much deliberation, I gave it to The Brain of Morbius. Dark, atmospheric and very, very spooky. Morbius is one chap I know I never, ever want to meet in a dark alley.

Terror of the Zygons just over The Pyramids Of Mars. The scene with the nurse changing in the hospital in front of Harry and the scene with Harry and Sarah in the barn are the two that freaked me out the most as a child and I have to admit have stayed with me a bit.

my opinion of Planet Of Evil is higher since reading Simon Messingham's Zeta Major, but I can't bring myself to award a "best" vote to anything here.

not my favourite period of Doctor Who.

Oh dear Kerr Avon. I just read Zeta Major last week and I thought it was an awful sequal. It could and should have been so much better.

My favourite for this season is Zygons. It has to be one of the scariest and most atmospheric stories in the history of the show.

and that's one thing that makes Doctor Who so great - it caters to many different tastes.

I like the Zygons in The Bodysnatchers a lot more than I do in their TV appearance.

Not a great deal of this season remains in my memory - I know I watched all of them when UK Gold repeated the whole series in the 90s, but the only one that I can remember from then is The Brain of Morbius - so I guess I'll vote for that one. Smile

Pyramids of Mars. Years I constantly watch this story recorded on UKTV over and over again simply because this was before I started to buy Doctor Who on video and now DVD.

Also like Planet of Evil & Seeds of Doom as well.

I actually think that Pyramids of Mars is better then The Seeds of Doom, but I voted for the latter. Anyway, it was the first six parter that I didn't ever get really bored in (even Genesis was too long).
