Well I liked this thread in the old forum so I'm starting it again. Vote for the team you support and talk about the weekend's activities

Is that Port supporter going to hide from me this week? Wink

The Freo boys have recently enjoyed getting thier gear off in public rather than play footy. Hopefully we can turn it around at home this weekend.
Go Freo!

OHHH YEAHHH

great win against the Dees.

we played like we did september last year.

on friday I re-watched the GF and then yesterday was at the game and the similarities in the way we played were amazing.

in other games we have played this year we have been playing a different sort of game but choco must have brought back last years game plan, and boy did it work!

Well I'm disgusted with two things this week.

1. Collingwood's "performance" - can't even make excuses. They were worse than pathetic.

2. Gabba security - WHAT A JOKE. Joffa thrown out in the first few minutes of the game for daring to stand up and support his team, anyone in black and white warned for bad language in the heat of the battle (didn't see one Bears supporter even looked at funny), people asked to move flags/scarves out of the way of advertising boards because they were in the way (including 2 7yo girls who were supporting which team? I think you can guess) and asking me to move back out of the way because I was blocking the view when it was HALFTIME. Gabba security, private security and about 5 billion members of the gestapo ruining the game for anyone who dared to be passionate. The AFL need to do something about it and NOW. It's a disgrace that true supporters who spend hundreds of their hard earned travelling to watch their team get treated like that by tossers on a power trip.

Good win for Freo. We can still make the 8. Bring on the blue-baggers!

I guess I'm a Lions man... although I do not particularly support them. I hear they made it into the top 8 though... which is good, if not surprising.

WOW! Some one-sided victories this weekend. Glad to see the Crows play four quarters at last -and equally glad that nobody on the board has claimed to support the Western Bulldogs thus far! Laughing Any forecasts on the final eight? My picks would be: West Coast, Geelong, Adelaide, Melbourne, Kangaroos, Brisbane, Sydney, Saints.

Well I picked West Coast for the flag before the season started and I'm not going to change that now

Having said that, I also picked Adelaide for the wooden spoon. I still don't think they're that good, but like Collingwood in 2002 they're just playing above their weight. No doubt they deserve the position on the ladder they hold currently.

i dont think we'll (port adelaide) make the eight

it was horrible in geelong on saturday - got poured on

it just made me hate that ground even more than i did because of the one point loss there a few years ago that i was also at

anyway, bring on the Tigers!

The umpiring was an absolute fucking disgrace. Once again, any frees paid to Collingwood were all in defence, and McBurney can go back to that wanker Jeff Gooshen and be pleased that he screwed over everyone in black and white yet again. I'm sure, just like he did after the Carlscum game, he'll look over the tape and talk about how if anything Collingwood were fortunate and the Aints were hard done by. Looking forward to seeing how many Aints players have to face charges as well. Since they were playing Collingwood, I'm guessing none.

Having said that, it was so frustrating watching the Pies die in the arse once again in the last quarter. Halfway thru the third quarter, it looked like we might be half a chance to at least make a game of it, but one bullshit free against Fanning and they just laid down yet again. Collingwood need to clean house BIG TIME at the end of the year and hope we can pick up a decent trade because I can't see them improving too much any time soon if they don't. Do what Leigh Matthews did at the end of 1986 - call out the mercenaries and tell them if they don't want to play for Collingwood they can piss off and try their luck elsewhere. We'd be better off in the long run.
