My choice in this season is not the one in which Adric dies, but the one in which Janet Fielding acts... Kinda.

I voted for Black Orchid. Something a bit different for that era. It's sort of like a who dunnit? Except we know who did it Smile

Hate to be predictable but Earthshock by a mile. Very ordinary season in my opinion.

really enjoyed Kinda when it screened recently - I don't recall thinking much of it when I saw it back in the eighties. it gets my vote now.

I like most of this season, although I've never been able to quite 'get' Kinda. My vote goes to Black Orchid, which is a lovely little piece, different from most others.

Black Orchid. A nice break from the usual.

I voted for Kinda. It was a bit of a tough choice because no Season 19 story really stands out for me, but the clock sequence and the Evil Tegan scenes push Kinda ahead.

Black Orchid for me. I'm a sucker for historicals. The should (and could have) done many more. The Beeb does great period pieces. This is no exception.

Has to be Earthshock. Not great, but neither is the show pretty much from now on

Big ups to Four to Doomsday - particularly with the Doctor telling Adric he's an idiot - but Kinda gets my vote (particularly with the Doctor being called an idiot!).

The story is quite packed, I'm prepared to forgive the snake as I am in Talons with the rat, and this is one of the few stories that showcases acting abilities. Granted, Nyssa is stuck in the TARDIS, but Tegan gets a whole solo act for a while, the Doctor is typically awesome, Hindle is wonderful ("You can't fix people!" - one of the best quotes ever) and even Adric (as a character) displays more than obnoxiousness with his fear and wariness towards Hindle. Of course, Waterhouse himself is completely unable to show these emotions, but nonetheless...

Kinda is actually in my top ten, ever. Love this story so much...
