20 years - you don't even get that for murder!
What's your favourite story from 1983?
(I'm keeping The Five Doctors aside for the favourite special story thread...) |

| After a bit of thought, I chose the charmingly poetic and philosophical Enlightenment - yes, it has numerous plot holes, but the Eternals were a good concept, the visual ideas were grat (although not always well executed), and we get to Turlough continue to grow as a character. (Pity that growth pretty much finished with this story...) |

Snakedance. The snake was a lot better than in Kinda and Tegan got a lot more to do. Plus Martin Clunes was in it and he's a bloody legend. |

| It's Snakedance for me, edging out Mawdryn Undead. Evil Tegan gives me the creeps! And the exploding crystal ball makes one hell of a cliffhanger. |

Enlightenment beats the Kings Demons because of the first episode
The Kings Demons is only in consideration because of The Master
I dont see what anyone sees in Mawdryn Undead or Snakedance, shockers for mine |

| Such a difficult choice between Snakedance and Enlightenment... gasp wheeze... Snakedance, by the slimmest of margins. I like both these stories for including villians that, whilst they have appeared in the Doctor Who chronology, are not annoyingly overused like some others in Season 20. Mawdryn Undead and Terminus are the same and in fact I like these a lot too, only Mawdryn Undead Ep 1 and Terminus' stupid hammy 80s freak duo (and the dog, although he upstages them) edged them out. |
