The fourth and final season of Enterprise is now available on DVD in Australia following its release in the US and the UK: http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/783759
I have actually seen 18 of the 22 episodes from my uni sci fi club. Therefore it means if I do want to buy or borrow the DVDs it will only be because of the final four episodes. However I will be waiting for a while before deciding on that as I entered a competition to get them for free. Curiously I found out that the final Enterprise episode was aired on the same day as Andromeda on May 13 this year.
Viewers who would rather watch season 4 on television than get the DVDs, I don't have a concrete date on when it would be shown on 9 but I have checked that the program that replaced Enterprise at the end of season 3 in its timeslot, The Associates will finished on 9 next Wednesday November 9 at midnight. So it could be possible Enterprise will return the following week.
Personally I am very curious to see how Enterprise will end. |

I am not expecting Enterprise to return until sometime next year. In actuality The Associates did not replace Enterprise another show did and then The Associates came along.
I am not a huge collector of DVD's opting instead to watch it on 9, and i imagine that most of the people here would advise me against that. But no i've made my choice and i'm sticking with it. |

Just checked TV WEEK and Enterprise is not returning on 9 next week.
However my uni sci fi club has scheduled the last four episodes to be shown in a few months time. So I am going to wait until then. |

is season 4 any good?
I wasnt really big on enterprise to start with, but from reading SFX it sounds as if Season 4 is more what I had hoped the show would be, more nods to the original series and answering unanswered questions (like the look of the klingons finally explained) and stuff like that.
So is it worth buying season 4?
On another note apparently ex-wollongong boy (& highlander director) Russell Mulcahy is going to be helming the new trek film, at least that's what IMDB says. |

Season 4 is pretty much enjoyable and it does answer unanswered questions. As to whether it is worth buying season 4 I am afraid I am not the right person to ask as buying the DVD is my last option if for some reason there is no other way for me to watch the last four episodes. |

You think now that 9 has gotten through most of its back-logged Trek they would start getting through all the other Sci-fi they have yet to get out.
But, alas, we got nothing from them. |

Yesterday I finally got to see Trekkies 2 which included an interview with Enterprise co-creator Brannon Braga (boo), consulting producer David Goodman along with Connor Trineer and Dominic Keating.
My uni sci-fi club is scheduled to show the last four episodes of Enterprise in less than four weeks. So I come back then and let you know what I think of them. |

In the last two nights saw the two-part documentary series How Techies Changed the World on Discovery Channel. This is about how Star Trek led to advances in technology such as the mobile phone and narrated by William Shatner. Just by reading the title you would not know that it was about Star Trek. Obviously the word "Techies" was meant to be a substitute for "Trekkies".
The cancellation of Enterprise gets a brief mention at the end as Bill Shatner that Star Trek on TV had moved too far from Gene Roddenberry's vision.
The two episodes of How Technies Changed the World will be shown back to back at 7:30pm on Sunday March 5. |

I have been told by the President of my uni sci fi club this morning that "Techies" was actually a substitute for "William Shatner". This means it was originally meant to be called How William Shatner Changed The World. Gee that's a thought. |

Last night I saw the final episodes of Enterprise, ending Star Trek for me as a viewer for the time being. Of the ones that was shown TOS fans should enjoy the two parter In A Mirror Darkly. The final episode does not go out spectacularly, it's more about tying up the loose ends since everyone did know this was going to be the final episode. I was pretty aware the couple of guest stars in this episode but it was completely unexpected the characters they were playing. Overall the last Star Trek (at least for a while) is not going to satisfy everybody, if any at all.
Note the timing is remarkable since it came a week after the new Doctor Who debut on the Sci Fi Channel which mirrors (no pun intended on the aforementioned Enterprise two-parter) the fact that Enterprise ended in its original transmission last year just less than two months after the debut of new Who. |

I don't look for patterns, patterns come to me and Matthew Jacobs should be exterminated for writing that line. People who say that line sounds like Hymie the robot.
In fact this is not about patterns, this is about the facts. F-A-C-T-S. |

| Madds at Buffy Downunder has posted information that 9 will show season 4 from Tuesday May 23 at midnight. I however do not know whether midnight means the beginning or end of May 23 at this point in time. |

Generally when the say Tuesday night they mean Tuseday night going into Wednesday morning.
I am looking forward to the final season of Enterprise, and it'll good to have some late-night Sci-fi i feel their has been a lack of it thus far in the year.
Madds is never wrong is she |

Just as Enterprise is about to return to 9 in a few days times, there was a screening of Scott Bakula's old show Quantum Leap from the first season last night at my uni sci fi club. This is completely coincidental since the club scheduled the Quantum Leap screening months ago.
During the dinner break someone actually commented that her father said that Scott Bakula as Captain Archer does not look that different from Sam Beckett. I suspect in years to come Bakula will be remembered more as Sam Beckett than as Captain Archer. |

If people have been watching season 4 on 9 you would noticed that its timeslot has been taken over by Quizmania even though the season hasn't finished.
Well I found out from Madds at Buffy Downunder that Enterprise has a new slot. It will be at midnight (which is when the day starts) on Monday August 21. |

| I watched Awakening again as it came on 9 this morning and there was something I did not realise before. The woman who played T'Pol's mother was Joanna Cassidy which I found to be a funny casting. It is funny because she later had a recurring role in Boston Legal as Denny Crane's fiancee and subsequently wife Bev and Denny Crane is played by Captain Kirk himself William Shatner. So by virtue of casting she got to be related to two Star Trek regulars. |
