Incidentally Attack of the Cybermen seems, to me, to be quite similar to The Web Planet. Particularly the Cryons.

I thought that this season wasn't quite as good as the last but much more enjoyable than TOATL.

Unfortunately, season 22 had far less going for it than any season prior to it, but it was still better than the two that immediately followed - although I'm quite fond of Delta and the Bannermen and don't mind Dragonfire...

Ultimately however, it was the last full length season we were to have until 2005...

Depends what you deem a 'full length' season.

Season 1 contained 8 stories and a total of 42 episodes.

Season 14 contained 6 stories and 26 episodes.
