Saw more promos of Day 4 with David Koch saying watching the family in it was like watching one on Wisteria Lane (from Desperate Housewives). Bought the Sydney Sunday Telegraph yesterday and there's a promotion of it in both the main paper and on the tv guide.

I don't like David Koch, but the premiere of the fourth 24 was pretty good... Pity Ronnie had to die so early, I knew he had to go eventually for Jack to shine, but I thought he might hold on... also everyone at CTU seems pretty green, except Chloe.

There was a six minute prequel to Day 4 but I haven't seen it since it is only available on Region 1 in the season 3 DVDs but informed that it not that essential for people who haven't seen it to understand what's going on in Day 4.

From TV.com:
"The Season 3 DVD set contains an exclusive six-minute prequel that sets up events for the beginning of the fourth season. The first scene occurs six months after the conclusion of Day 3 and shows Driscoll firing Jack from CTU because of his drug use. The second scene takes place three months before the events of Day 4 and shows a terrorist sneaking across the U.S./Mexican border, and then killing his accomplices. The third and final scene occurs six hours before Day 4 begins and shows Jack and Audrey in a love scene. The prequel is available on the Region One set, but not Region Two."

Day 4: 7AM-8AM:
Until I saw it did not realise how much I miss seeing the "24" logo at the beginning.
Alberta Watson (Erin Driscoll) was a regular in 24 creators Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran's previous show La Femme Nikita. Her Nikita co-star Don Francks appeared in two hours in Day 2.
I am already getting a bad vibe about her when she overlooked Chloe's tip from her friend.
That father forbidding his son seeing a girl could easily happened in any family until they are revealed as terrorists and be glad you are not part of that family.
Was curious to know what goinjg happen at the end of the first hour as 7 showed a caption throughout the first hour that everything changes in this amount of time and it is a suitable first cliffhanger.
Even though only Jack is the one left in the regular cast from the previous Days (plus the adorable Chloe) I did however see Elisha Cuthbert in the trailer for House of Wax during the ad breaks.
As to Jack being the only leftover I felt as he walked into CTU, gee everybody there is new except Chloe.

Day 4: 8AM- 9AM:
Debbie should not have followed Behrooz and I wonder if he would actually kill in the next hour.
Wasn't too glad to see President Keeler since he blackmailed former President Palmer.
Ronnie getting knocked off is probably something that should been expected.
A nice twist in the end a trial by terrorists.

It needs to be said that is quite unfortunate that 24's return to Australian TV takes place only days after the London bomb blasts and to be honest I thought 7 would delay its return a little bit longer as a result of it.

Day 4: 9AM-10AM:
Wonder why this Marianne gets introduced all of a sudden.
Really shocked at the end of this hour when Jack staged a robbery.

Day 4: 10AM-11AM:
I really did not want Debbie to die as Mum Araz had no faith in Behrooz in killing her himself.
OK why are we looking at Driscoll's personal life and is it relevant that her daughter has schizophrenia.
I wonder how Jack is going to get out of the predicament at the end of this hour.

Driscoll seems to keep getting herself into hot water, bad judgment calls, ordering the torture of SecDef's son, interfering with Police business... Sheesh! She's soo goone.

Laughed how Chloe's 5 minutes to get the Satellite coverage ended up taking forever, I liked Jack improvised robbery. If he ever thought of a change in career/needed some extra cash...

OK lets be honest......the very minute that poor women even mentioned that she was in love with Jack......you knew she was in for it BIG TIME.

Thank God Kimmie is gone...if I had to watch 24 hours of her moaning and groaning her awkward way through mishaps and disasters, torturing, etc etc...and still come out unscathed with perfect hair I would have been forced to chew through my own veins.

I agree with Liam...Discoll is heading for a sticky end.

I'm loving the new Chloe and her in-your-face honesty

12PM-1PM on 22/7 is TV WEEK's highlight of the day.

The return of 24 is one reason for TV WEEK's What's Not on TV as that along with the cricket is the reason for delays in Desperate Housewives and Lost.

Tonights episode is leading up to a reported cracker next week, shame I accidently caught the trailers for it! I hate when that happens! Twisted Evil

Anyone keen on seeing Chloe going go lone-wolf now she's getting kicked out of CTU? I'd be cheering for her! Wink

Sad that Behrooz succumbed to the dark side by lying about the phone ring. Sad

And who's the new hacker guy and how does Audrey know him? Confused

i love smilies

11AM-12PM:
Quite moving seeing Heller and Audrey contemplating suicide.
It would be a shame if this is the last we see of Chloe.
Debbie's mother leaves the Araz's place unscatched.
Wonder who the man that Audrey recognises.

I just found out that I made a mistake in identifying the other Nikita regular who was on 24. It was Eugence Robert Glazer not Don Francks.

12PM-1PM:
What an explosive opening minutes of the hour.
I am getting a bad vibe from Audrey's husband.
Papa Araz is not disappointed by the trial's failure as he says that everything is still according to plan.
Can't believe Heller authorised further interregation on his own son Richard.
Glad that Behrooz escaped.
Marianne - Nina Myers Mark II.

Following 24, 7 began rerunning the similar themed short lived series Threat Matrix but that is more obviously to do with the fact it starred a pre-Desperate Housewives James Denton.

Meanwhile 24 will take a break on August 8 to make way for the premiere of Grey's Anatomy. 24 will return in the usual time in the following week.

Two of the subjects that I am currently doing at uni relates to terrorism. Yesterday hours before 24 was shown I began the politics course International Security and I just came out of a history course called United States and the Conflict in the Middle East.

Just found out that there will be a double 24 this Sunday 7/8 as 2-4pm will be shown from 8:40pm as it would not be on its usual time next Monday due to the premiere of Grey's Anatomy.

OMG.
Who else was cheering like a school child with too much red cordial on board when Tony burst onto the scene?

Be honest

1PM-2PM:
Starts off with Kiefer Sutherland's announcement on terrorism which I thought he delivered well.
Absolutely shocking that Navi shoots his own wife.
Is there a significance to the wrong file for Driscoll's daughter?
Best part when Jack and Audrey when they are confronted by terrorists plus the return of Tony Almeida. Curious to know why Tony is a free man since the last he was seen he was facing 20 years in prison.
A meltdown, what's next.
