Doctor Who actor David Tennant's mother passed away on July 15.

Helen McDonald passed away at the Accord Hospice in Paisley, Scotland. McDonald, who was a grandmother five times over, is survived by her husband, the Very Rev Dr Alexander McDonald, sons Blair and David and daughter Karen.

There will be a service to celebrate McDonald's life at Renfrew North Parish Church on July 21 at 11am. The family have asked well-wishers to donate to the charity Accord instead of giving flowers."

My condolences to him and his family at this sad time.
